Right. How often does he have to go past his first read?

Amari Cooper or trade back. We need lots of things....a top level NUMBER ONE WR is one of them. Truthfully we have never had one here. Remember this is the franchise, under idiot fishface, that passed on Randy Moss to draft Kevin Dyson. Pathetic really.

Guys Ive been trying to get this out of my head but I think we might just take Jameis Winston, the guy fixes QB and O-Line at once.

Trade back to the #3-5 pick range to someone looking for a QB. Pick up an extra 2nd and 3rd this year and a 1st next year. (similar to Rams trade)

Use the 1st pick on Leonard Williams, USC (6'5 290). He will play DE for us in the 3-4, and will provide an immediate boost in both pass rushing and run support. He is our version of JJ Watt.

Package a 2nd and 3rd to move back into the 1st round (about #25 or so) and pickup Danny Shelton, Washington (6'2 340). Huge NT. Will eat up blocks and space. Will it make it very difficult for opposing teams to run, and will allow our LBs to wreak havoc.

Our DL would be the best in the NFL. We could have Casey - Shelton - Williams on the line at the same time. That would be unstoppable.

Why another WR? You realize if Cooper had come out last year, he would have been the 4th best WR out of that group? He isn't that great, definitely no Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, or Sammy Watkins. Top 10? Yes, but barely.

To all those saying that Mariota is all system, I disagree. His OL this year has been awful, and their only potential bright spot Grasu got injured. He has no name WR (when was the last time you've heard of a Oregon WR getting drafted), and he has no name TE. His RB is a freshman. He makes that team, I don't care what people say. Plus, even if he is all system, why can't we just implement that system into the NFL? Chip Kelly has proven that it works.

I do like Cooper. I do not think you take him at 1 or 2. If we trade back then yea. The big thing is it doesn't matter how great he runs a route, how fast he is, how great his hands are, or how dependable he is; if the oline does not give the QB time to get the ball to him accurately.

I DO NOT want Oline with our 1st pick... I really want a play maker offensively or defensively. I am hoping for a defensive player that can rush the passer. Oline maybe in 2nd or 3rd. Unless we can trade back & pick up some more picks.

Its still Dec ... we have no idea if he will be there or not.

We don't even know the draft order yet ... if 2 QB needy teams end up in the top 5, then he might.

If someone has a great combine and shoots up the board he might.

If he has a bad or average combine he might.

Basically, at this point in the draft process, there is still a lot that will change.
