JC, could you or someone let us know how Schwenke has done? I do see an improvement next year. Lewan, Schwenke, and Warmack are solid players. But, like a chain, they are only as good as their weakest link. Oher will be cut. A very smart move by Webster on the structure of the contract. His contract is essentially a one year deal. Low risk it was. Unfortunately, Levitre will not, too much dead cap. Just gotta hope it clicks with him and having Lewan next to him. All we need is a RT and I believe our line can be good again.

Ok let me get this straight. "a very smart move" to sign a guy to 6mill for a year with an out when we could have a vet for the minimum and got equal performance. At least you admit the Levitre signing wasn't "a very smart move".

I'm disgusted that folks want to keep dancin' with the dog that brung us to this point......

We really need a new center. Schwenke is awful. The center calls protections, and as you can see, Schwenke doesn't know what he is doing.

I'm sure, if we had a good center, our line would be better than good.

I agree that he is worth recognizing. I do not agree he was a wise pick at 10. Larry Warford has played great since being drafted and was taken in the 3rd. That's was a nice grab. Taking a guard that high was not smart. Another mistake my Webster. Even if Warmack turns it completely around, we could have had a player just as good in the 2nd or 3rd. It was just not a good decision.

I am glad he is playing better, we need him to consistently play better for a long time. I just wish we had used that pick on an impact player that we did not have to wait on to develop. A top 10 pick should make a difference in his rookie season IMO.

The reason that it was at 6 million is because that's what the market was. We were not the only team trying to sign him. He was a low risk high reward signing. We did not get the high reward. You have to take chances, though we lost this one. Why always reach for the bottom? If we just signed a vet to the min to start at RT, everyone would have been upset.

Playing devils advocate here: Does anyone think if we brought back Dave Stewart, he would have played as well or better than Oher? Stewarts '14 salary was going to be $6.4 million. Would it have been worth the extra $400k to keep him on?

The signing wasted 6 million and our OL still sucks. Granted hindsight is 20/20 but certainly can not be classified as a "very smart move" as you suggested.

I only mention it because I have zero faith Webster is capable of guiding this team. Anybody who objectively looks at his record with personnel should feel the same. But somehow, it appears the Titans community is giving this guy a pass. This is a CRITICAL year for the draft and FA. Trusting Webster to get it right this time is a huge risk. I don't understand how so many (including the owner) are comfortable giving him another chance. He has missed on nearly everything he's touched.
