Delanie Walker on the radio said,"We always say we are gonna change what we are doing but we keep doing the same things."

Munch did suck as HC. His record shows it. He was handed the job by Bud. That was a big mistake and largely the reason why many Munch bashers wanted a better qualified coach in his place.

Munch was the HC when BM was line coach. Matthews sucked as an OL coach. Ours was pathetic then and now. It was good when Munch was OL coach so its no surprise Pitt's OL has improved. Munch should have never been promoted to HC from OL. He simply didn't have the experience and wasn't qualified. End of story.

I don't know why Whiz was chosen over other HC choices by Webster (and Tommy Smith i guess). There were other more intriguing options IIRC. But I don't necessarily put our current problems all on Whiz, although our offense certainly hasn't benefitted statistically from his "genius".

And can we PLEASE be clear about the talent from the last draft. There has been nothing much that suggests it was a "quality draft" other than the fact these guys are playing. How many of them are league leading in stats? All we hear is that they have "starts". And the reason those rookies are "starting" or getting playing time is because we suck so bad and we're evaluating young talent.

Well, I guess this answers any questions on Nate....if Whis stays (more than likely) Nate will not be back. That bridge is burning....not that I blame him though.

This has been going on for weeks.

    1) Nobody would believe me if I told you some things I know/have heard. And fair enough, I wouldn't blame you. 2) I don't name drop, especially someone who is in the public eye.

    But this team despises Whiz.

I wasn't a fan of the hire, but some crap I've heard. I'm not a fan of him as a coach or a human being.

He needs to go, a coach should never be a locker room cancer.

That could be. The Titans are 2nd in the league with running attempts, but a lot factors into that. As for pass/run ration, Titans were ranked 11th. Very little separating them from being in the middle of the pack, and thats also considering that we are always playing from behind so we need to pass more.

I dont think he avoids the run as much as people say, even though he is obviously a passing coach.

Everyone sees this line going in reverse, and not pushing forwards so it leaves a few options

    1. The line sucks

    2. Whiz is scared of calling run plays.

What if its both? Maybe Whiz doesn't call more runs, because the line sucks and our running game is ineffective. Would you, or anyone, be more pleased if we rushed for 10 more attempts per game, even if it was ineffective? Or would the fans be upset because he stuck with something that isnt working?

IMO, the whole team is just void of talent and it makes everyone look worse. When you have a team of bad players, its hard for anyone to look good. Everyone can talk about how good JC is, but how has that helped us at all? Same could be said for Houston and Watt (which someone pointed out). How about how good Walker is?? That I saw drop a very easy pass from an ailing QB that needed him to catch that college level pass.

Everyone looks bad, because everyone is not doing their best. An offense is a unit, they all need to play well enough to be effective. The same for a defense, its a complete unit. You cant have "one star" on the line, that doesnt make you a winner. You cant have "one rookie LB" playing well, and be a good unit. As a whole, you need "enough talent" to be "good".

We simply do not have that. Sure, coaching may be an issue, but its only amplified because we have so many bad players and inconsistent players on this team from the top to bottom.

Think about it, what position can we look at and think to ourselves "oh we are fine there, theres no need to upgrade"

I cant think of one. Maybe punter lol

There are a lot of fingers to go around, and it looks ridiculous when people only want to point at one thing and say "oh thats the biggest problem."

If every player on this team was more talented, they would block better and we would see a better running and passing game. We would see more sacks and defensive stops. Its an all around thing and like usual, people jump to extremes.
