    That was Locker's golden moment.

    He had the chance to pull an Ayers and make the FO and KWhis look stupid.. and he failed.

    He boned his chance of getting a good gig next year. He won't sniff a starting job next year.

    Ya, he'll get a backup gig.. but don't know who would rely on an injury prone backup. He's going to go from well paid, to cheapo contract. He's still set for life. He's a smart guy. Just not a fit NFL QB.

    The guy signed a $12M deal in 2011, and he's not VY so yea he should be alright financially.

    And who we kidding here, backups sign some sweet deals. Whitehurst is on the books for about $4M, Steelers back-up is also handsomely paid for doing nothing. And if Jason Campbell can sign multiple multi-million dollar deals as a backup then so can Jake.

    also, blain freaking gabbert is still making money in the NFL, Jake will certainly keep bringing in NFL checks for a while longer

    Please do not compare Mett's few ill advised rookie throws with 4 years of Locker throwing 10 feet over the head of wide open receivers. Mettenberger is light years ahead of Locker in accuracy.

    Locker should try to get the Seattle back-up job. Tavaris Jackson aint nothing great and is on the last year of his deal.

    Jake is from the Seattle area, and would fill in nicely should Wilson get hurt. Very basic offense up there, perfect for a mobile QB.
