After the abysmal fantasy performances I got from him, he's dead to me.

    Um...

You haven't watched any Vikings football this year, have you? He doesn't "make plays." He has been entirely phased out of the offense because he can't run routes or catch. Those two things are kind of important for wide receivers...

Oh crap, I said I would stay out of this thread. Away I go.

maybe i was drunk last night but last year i saw him go for some TD's, he has potential, maybe Teddy's noodle arm is magnifying CP's faults. I didn't say give up the house but if he's disgruntled we could come off with someone who at least has hunger for the end zone.

this team is boring dude, i'd take CP in a second. Once again only if the deal is sweet. I might put him at running back(once in a while), may be better than what we have now and i like Sankey. He absolutely must be accounted for on the field, unlike McCluster (no disrespect). i think with Mett , CP has a better chance than with Teddy. I wish it would happen. thats all.

Ryan Mathews and James Carpenter stick out as guys I would like on offense. Mathews would come here on a nice contract and familiar with Whiz's offense already. Splitting time with Sankey reduces his injury risk. Carpenter can replace Levitre after we cut him. I would like to bring Nate back on a very team friendly deal so he can close out his career here. If we don't go WR early in the draft then one more vet will do.

Defensively, ugh. Can I just say everywhere? There are some very appealing names at 3-4 OLB. I can live with Williamson/Woodyard/Brown/Vet at ILB next year as long as we add more pass rushers. Can New England afford both of their Safeties? Time for J-Mac to recruit his brother here.

Everyone said the same thing about Wallace last year. (Or maybe it was the year before. Can't remember, but he went to a sub par team) He wouldn't leave Pittsburg & if he did he would go to a contender. He went to Miami because they paid him. Too much IMO, but that is what it takes to get a good player on a crappy team like ours. You have to spend that $$$. As long as Ruston & Tommy realize that we will be able to land some talent in FA. I would rather build through the draft. However, when you have as many holes as this team does you cannot rely solely on the draft. To get back to winning games we will have to have a great FA & draft. That is the bottom line, if we do not score in FA we will be drafting high again next year.

Everyone can stop talking about us cutting Levitre. Very doubtful it happens. No matter what, we are spending $6 million + on him next year (Dead money if we cut him). We only save $200,000 if we do cut him. That's not worth it. Its kinda like CJ, give him another year to try and improve now that he has a new tackle next to him. I wish we could get a new RT, but don't see it improving. Maybe just switch him and Warmack? Change of scenery could help. Warmack played LG in college which could help him, maybe it will help Levitre as well.
