Just thought I would mention did anyone notice that the only team the eagles have beat with a positive record this season are the Colts? They are not a very good team.

I wonder though how much of that is having to take table scraps because the front line free agents don't want to play here.

Very little! The ONLY players who would t come here are players late in their career who never won but have made their money. But most of the rest are chasing the highest contract offered.

I'm not one to make excuses because we certainly played poorly in a lot of phases, but we got distroyed by the terrible reffing in that game. I don't care much for ticky-tac calls but I can live with it if it's consistent. There was NO consistency in how they were calling the game and they cost the Titans at least 14 points and affected the outcome of at least 28 points scored in the game. And to be fair, there were a couple of ridiculous calls that went against the eagles too.

Hunter was held in the rnd one on the ball he only reached one hand out for. We get called for a questionable holding call on a running play...punt the ball. Philly runs outside and holds Wembley (same play he pulled his hammy) and no call. Not all holding will be called, but when the holding happens at the point of attack and leads to a big play, it is inexcusable. Schwenke's elbow was down. Not a question. We got a first down when they called a Terri or defensive holding call on a Philly db. Then Nate gets opi in the end one to negate a td? Meanwhile, we are seeing wrs bumped and held down the field with no call. I could go on and on but we are. It good enough to overcome perhaps one bad call let alone a whole slew of them! And I loved they. All pi on woodward on a play he didn't do anything.

And you know the reffing is bad when they (and the announcers) missed a sack. When Sanchez ducked under our rusher and threw a short flare pass to the flat, everyone was concerned about whether or not the guy caught it. What they should have seen was that sanche went down to his knee and was touched by the defensive player so he should have been down by contact. SACK!!!

We are bad enough but this would have actually have been a competitive game if there weren't so many blatantly bad calls!

Whenever I see a Boger led crew reffing us I know the game is already over, he is awful.

Yes, but assuming the money is close to the same, you have to think a player would seek a contract with a winning team.

If course, money being equal or close and a player will go to the winning team! But most SB contenders don't have a ton of cap space to sign huge contracts!

All the more reason why I think I'm the minority when I often say, I want this team to be competitive, but not win anymore games!!! I'd rather know we can at least compete with the teams we play, but don't win anymore games so we can actually do what this franchise has lacked the ability to do in the last 10 years. Actually draft difference making talent... :-/
