I'm mad this is tagged as breaking news.

 

the cap has been growing for years, no reason to think it doesn't maintain that trend. but if you have a QB youre half way to good.

Also many of the top deals aren't guaranteed. I know both Kaep and Dalton have incentive laden deals, if they suck they get way less than what was agreed on.

 

This is an outstanding example of how a QB should be developed.

 

I agree, but how often does a young QB come into a perfect situation like Wilson's? Its hard to develop guys when your team is falling apart. Case in point, RG3.

 

Exactly why I don't want this team taking a QB in the first next year. We need to stick with Mett. He is good enough and will get us through a year or two minimum while we address our defensive issues through free agency and the draft. If Mett is not the answer in a couple years, we can bring in a QB that hopefully has a solid defense to work with.

 

Youre on to something, but we have to find a QB, thats the golden ticket in the NFL. You get the QB figured out and you could be set for 10+ years.

 

True, but that guy isn't there next year. The down side to Mett is that with any kind of supporting cast I don't think we will continue picking in the top ten which could limit our chances at an Andrew Luck type QB.
