Oh man that looks so lame...

Maybe it's because Jurassic park was just a bit before my time, but that looks like the most cliche movie...

Sucks too because Chris Pratt is the man.

you should know that 80 percent of what Hollywood churns out is a rehashing, or an unnecessary sequel or prequel.

It can never match the first. The first was groundbreaking. This will not be. This will probably be another fun summer movie.. but that's it. Everything after JP1 pales in comparison.

I wish they'd reboot and make the first one again but stay true to the book.

Book was dark...not the fun adventure we got on screen but a dark techno thriller/horror story

It was. LOL Also, it was basically just the Disney movie "FERNGULLY" with blue aliens.

It was surprisingly funny and well done. Maybe it's just because my expectations weren't real high, but I thoroughly enjoyed that movie and was glad I saw it in theaters.

I'd say it was one the better movies to come out in the last few years.

Oh I know. I am the harshest critic ever on most movies. The last time I left the theatre genuinely impressed was a movie called Warrior from like 2011. And that's just be use that movie really hit home for me.

Same goes for TV. Only impressive TV show on right now is the Walking Dead. And half of that is how impressive the special effects are.

Say what you want, but honestly, I've really been spoiled by anime. These Japanese writers are far and away, the best writers and story tellers on the planet.

Couple that with the fact that they are given as much time as they need to tell the story as well as they need to (some upwards of 250 hours), and you are talking about hands down some of the best told stories in the world.

Fair enough... I can't fault folks for whatever they really enjoy.
I've just had enough of Marvel for the rest of the year at the minimum.
