Getting multiple picks would be good considering how many holes we have to fill. Taking a QB with our high first is questionable because we need defense so badly.

I think a point you are overlooking is, VY was a runner. He had a dynamic ability to run around and make plays, and it took a while for the league to put together packages to stop that and make him play from the pocket. Once they did, vy's career ended shortly after that.

There is no nfl defense confused by what Mett is going to do. He is playing good football against defenses that know exactly what to expect. They already have a game plan against him. He is a stand in the pocket passer. The fact that anyone would claim "next year teams will be ready for hi. And gameplan for him and then we will see what he can do" is ludicrous.

I would put money on the notion that whiz has already made his decision to roll with Mett for the foreseeable future. If he hadn't, there is no way he would have gone about things the way he did. It would have been perfectly acceptable for him to let locker and cbj play out the year and have mettenberger be part of the conversation next year with a rookie, or veteran kc petting for the job. He benched a healthy locker for Mett, and went with him, Mett was his guy at that point, and their relationship shows that even more.

What you see is what you get with Mett, if you are disappointed in what you've seen in his first 4 games, then I don't know what to tell you.

We'll see bro, I want us to win as much as anyone and be a good team, I like Mett, I think if we put together a decent defense and got the oline working properly I think we could do so,e damage with him. I could absolutely be wrong, I don't think I am, and more than that I hope I'm not more than anything

Yea, in about 14 months...since you can't evaluate a QB after four games where he rolled most of his stats up on soft defenses in garbage time.

This time next year Mett will either be the guy or he will about to be replaced.

It is way too early for "is Mett the guy" guy threads.

Tomorrow's thread - "Is Mett a first ballot Hall of Famer?"

I agree with XO except for the part about 'soft' Ds

Philly did the same thing the whole game. Abused the horrid Titan OL with a 4 man standard rush.

I wish there was a way for the Titans to start a game loose and ready to play football instead of hesitant and just waiting for the sword of Damocles to drop

Mett put up like 170 in the 1st half (right on pace with the 340 he finished with).

Not all of his stats were in garbage time. He brought the team back from what looked to be an early blow out to make it competitive at the half. Is it his fault that Schwenke fumbled a ball? or that Sankey fumbled? ... those are the plays that t really blew it open vs the eagles.

And even if a lot of his stats are in Garbage time ... Is that different than almost any other rookie in the NFL? Bortles stats are almost all garbage and no one seems to care. Same with Carr.

Mett played pretty much mistake free football all game long. He made some really good passes, pushed the ball down field. For a rookie, he looks very good. Does he have a lot to learn, of course but what rookie doesn't. He still has some bad throws and some things he needs to clean up, but if Locker would've looked like this in his rookie year, we would probably be throwing a party and saying how bright the future looked.

The fact is, he has looked better than all the 1st round QBs taken. But they should be given more time just because of draft position? That is ridiculous. No one is saying " Should Jags draft a QB in the 1st next year?" And Mett looks far ahead of Bortles at this point.

Well we start slow so we end IP just slinging the ball around the rest of the game playing catch up.

Look, I'm done with you sunshine sheep.

You can't properly evaluate a QB after four games or even the first season. It will be halfway through next year before he even gets 16 games under his belt IF he is still playing.

If y'all want to sit around a circle jerk Mett for the next 18 months have at it.

People need to stop comparing Mett to this rookie class, last I checked, there are about 28 other quarter backs in this league as well. Being better than about 4 or 5 isn't what you should aim for.
