Tomorrow will tell us a lot because the Ravens' two starting CBs were out and, if I recall, the Steelers were down six starters on defense on Monday. The Philly D was abused by Rodgers but they're ranked better than the Steelers.

One thing has to be certain, if they plan to keep Mett as the future starter and build around him; improving the O-line further would be key. Mett is constantly called a "statue" by pretty much everybody.

I'm not saying draft a O-liner 1st round - hell no - that first pick better be a Corner, Pass Rusher or Amari Cooper - but O-line would be a top priority to keep Mett standing up right since he isn't going to be moving much in the pocket.

Nobody ever doubted Peyton, he was doing things as a senior that 90% of all NFL QBs weren't doing. He had complete command of that team and offense.

Being "The Guy" doesn't usually fall to the 6th round because of character concerns and such, those are usually the traits that are non-negotiable for QBs. Brady was kind of a fluke for a 6th rounder, nobody knew what they had in him because he couldn't even take the job completely away from Drew Henson at Michigan.

I'd really like to see Mett's clock speed up, eyes get better and his pocket mobility improve. But I like a lot of what I've seen and don't think any of these '15 QBs are gonna be that special.

I hope Mett is the guy simply because 2 high 1st rounders on Qbs that did not pan out is enough for me.

hope all you want but we need to KNOW if he is our guy and these last few games are his try out. The ball is in his court and let's see what this kid can do. I just do not want to miss out on another opportunity with all of the good QB's coming out of college to maybe try to draft one of these guys and develop him for years to come.

At the very least, Mettenberger is the guy you want to build around because he's going to stay in the pocket. This will allow your team to get better in the areas that they need to get better in. So if Mett is not the guy, the next time you draft a 1st rounder, you'll have a solid foundation built for him to come in & learn the position.

I am not terribly worried about the OL. There are three starters that have been in the league less than two years and everyone has been with the team less than two years. The line will be better in time. We are at the point now where we just need to give them time to come together. Oher is the only one I would outright dump at this point. And possibly Levitre unless he takes a pay cut.

Oh yeah definitely - I am not worried too much in the line and in some ways I like it, especially after seeing the potential without dumb penalties on MNF.

So I guess just RT needs to be upgraded - no way Oher is the starting RT in 2015 - I am sure they will address that need at some point, especially for Metts case.

Manning sucked his first 3 games.

    Let's be real people.

And another thing. We HAVE to build our defense. This draft better for D than for QB. I'd take Amari Cooper if he's there. He is that kind of athlete and has the work ethic intangibles as well.
