Is Mettenberger "our guy?"

3 games in is not enough to know what Mett really is or isnt.

I like him enough tho that I welcome his 4th and 5th then 6th games. After about 6 I get a good sense on a guy. But plenty of players don't improve until after their rookie year.

If Mett doesn't show me and everyone that he can beat another NFL team here soon I'll begin to doubt him. So far most of what he's shown us has been impressive.

 

Mett doesn't play defense.

Too early to tell but he has been impressive so far. He needs to learn how to deal with pressure up the middle, or our guards and center need to play well at all times.

 

Mett is our guy! A strong arm, stands tall in the pocket, and comes with truck load of hoes. HOF bound!

 

But he takes too long to make his reads

 

Would have been nice if the defense would have got him the ball back at the end of the 4th, so he'd have an opportunity to show he could/or could not beat another team.

 

Some people on this board amuse me. Ya'll seem to think that if a QB throws a pick then he sucks. As if Manning, Brees, Brady, Rogers and the like don't throw INT's. Dude! They throw multiple INT's a game sometimes!

 

IN the same vein, ya'll act like a team can't lose if the QB plays well. Guess what, we lost the Stooler game because of a pathetic run D NOT QB play.

 

Couldn't really say yet.....if you're going by wins and losses, some of you would have cut Peyton after his 3-13 rookie year. I think we have worse defensive issues than QB right now.

 

I know right! QB's that throw picks are the best!
