I think this class is pretty good, to be honest. Maybe not the headliners that last year's class had, but there is a lot of solid depth at WR this year. The main reason I would take the draft picks in the previous scenario.

Cooper, Parker, Strong, Greene, Diggs, White and even some mid-round values like Hardy and Green-Beckham(if he declares).

He has put up stellar numbers on a run first offense with crap QB play. He's a game changer. He's one of those guys people have to plan around. We need one of those.

Very true. I just saw a tweet from Matt Miller (he's the "Mel Kiper" of Bleacher Report) saying that Cooper would likely be behind Watkins, Evans, and Beckham Jr if he would of went out last year. That speaks wonders to me.

He just doesn't stand out anywhere.

    Average size, average speed

Isn't a great route runner, has suspect hands. Not very much there to get excited about.

BTW, I'm really starting to love Shane Ray. But with us keeping on losing, there's a chance we could get Leonard Williams. I know taking a 3-4 DE early isn't what alot of people want. But, our run D is awful. Williams can fix that - he's getting comparisons to anywhere from JJ Watt to Gerald McCoy. A huge 6'5 300 guy that could mirror Casey, having 2 guys that would command a double team up front would be amazing.

Bingo. If he has a great combine, we could see him fly up. But I do think he's getting alot of media attention (thanks to being at Bama) and dominating in college. Fact of the matter is he's average size average speed. However, I think people will be surprised at his 40 time, I think we'll see 4.3-4.4 speed.

I'm pretty comfortable with the idea of Shane Ray.

FAR superior? Who do you think are the next 5 best prospects and do you think anyone has a chance to surpass Cooper between now and the draft? If Cooper runs a 4.45 40 and is under 6'1, will you think the same way?

The 'problem' is, is Beasley maxed out as a pass rusher and due to his smaller size, will it negate some or too much of his game in the pros? Beasely IS the best pass rusher in the draft class right now. But will Gregory or Fowler develop into better pass rushers in time because they are longer and heavier and are dominant while still being raw (though Gregory was far from dominant when melvin gordon chewed up their D for over 400+yds in 3 quarters)! Of course, it's nt his height as much as his arm length that they will be concerned about.

I'll use Warmack as an example. He's big and dominant in college so everyone thinks he'll continue to get better in the pros. But maybe he's max'd out his technique in college and his game isn't as good against the better athletes in the pros.

So Gregory will be seen as having the highest upside because of his size, length and athleticism. Then again, does he ever develop into that monster?

Another example would be Pacman Jones. A 5'9 CB can NOT be taken that early because of his size. He wasn't Deion Sanders and when faced with players much taller and just as athletic, it's a problem!

So do you take the best pass rusher right now or the guy you project to be the best one in the future...with development. IF he develops.

I will be very surprised if he can run a 4.3. I could see him around 4.45. I'll be more interested in his 10 yd split and his height/weight. I think we will see some WR's start to challenge him...especially the big guys who can run and jump thru the roof but haven't gotten as much press. They will start to get 'momentum.'
