About that "weak" OSU schedule, interesting bit of information from ESPN regarding OSU since the VaTech loss;

"The Buckeyes are 8-0 and have won by an average of 28 points -- the top scoring margin for any Power 5 team during that span. Its opponents’ winning percentage during that time is better than that of Oregon, Florida State, MISSISSIPPI STATE and TCU -- teams all ranked ahead of Ohio State."

Winning percentage is completely meaningless unless you have a way of comparing the quality of the opposition. Which really all this boils down to. There's no good way of judging the quality of different teams opponents.

 

Oregon/FSU/TCU all play chump schedules also

MS plays in the SEC-SEC-SEC !!! so of course some of those teams have some Ls because they also had to play SEC schools.

Ohio State is weak and just plays whack teams all year. Your coach is an ex-SEC coach that would've dropped dead if he had to continue coaching against SEC teams on a regular basis. Maybe saying 7-5 was too gracious, Ohio State would probably just fold if they had to play SEC teams on the reg.

 

Exactly my point. We give SEC teams credit for beating other SEC teams who are considered "quality" teams because they beat other SEC teams.

There's no constant for a measuring point. We only have variables confined to conference bubbles.
