I agree that some throws were behind and did cost our players some YAC, but I am pleased that the receivers still made the catches. That wasn't happening with Locker. I can only imagine that it was because Locker's passes were harder to catch, less accurate, or he is a guy that nobody wanted to make the extra effort for. Either way, I will take what I saw last night especially if we build on it!

I understand the Super Bowl or bust mentality, but there's quite a bit of QB between Brady & Bust. After losing for over a decade, I'd have thought you guys would be happy getting to "decent NFL starter."

You can still be look for the next Brady with an Andy Dalton or Ryan Tannehill on your roster. Just don't screw up & pay him like he's Brady.

That's fair criticism.... but most of them were beyond the sticks. Hopefully that's something he works on... ball placement that is.

If it makes you feel better, I hate him. I hope something happens to him & he doesn't play two weeks from now.

I did notice that. He was a lot faster on his passes. Not sure why some here poo poo him. Each game, well he did this better, right? Ya, but I still think he sucks.

I believe we have our franchise guy in Mett. I was pro locker all the way, but he showed no where near as competent or complete as Mett is currently showing.

I don't hate him. I hope he gets better. I'm just remembering the replays and the announcers telling how great he did. Then I watch the actual play and see just how bad he was beat. We did get lucky. A couple times.

Third game as a starter in 25 degree weather...with WRs who I still am not sure are necessarily hitting their spots like they are supposed to.

Yeah, he made some bad throws...but he made some really good ones as well. He is not the only one out there getting paid you know.

I think a full offseason and training camp as the starter could do wonders for what is possible for him. His poise in the pocket is something you cannot teach.

I dont expect him to be "clutch" at this point in his starts. I expect him to manage the game and take his shots.

The way he drove back after that pick 6 was impressive. He led us to a lead late in a game that NO ONE gave us even a chance to win...and if McCourty could have just covered someone a couple of times at least...and our LBs had filled their gaps and been able to slow the run down we might have squeeked that one out.

I thought Mett played great last night. I am very excited for him. The only thing I asked from Mett when he was named the starter was to see improvement by the end of the year.

Here he is 3 weeks later, and has already shown more improvement than Jake or VY had shown in their entire careers. This kid is a hard worker and a quick learner, plus he has all the physical tools. There is a reason that this 6th round draft pick has replaced a 1st round pick and a 9 year vet ... coaches saw it in practice, and we are starting to see it now.

The pick 6 he threw was ugly, and I thought it was going to be a blow out after that. But Mett came right back out onto the field and drove us for a TD. and then drove us down the field the very next drive for what should've been another TD (settled for a FG at the 2 yard line). Then closes out the half with an 80 yard TD bomb on the most beautiful deep ball we have seen in TN for quite some time.

Mett was constantly making calls at the LOS and adjusting Pass Pro (0 sacks so he must have a good understanding of what he is doing). And did a much better job of getting the ball out quick.

He is light years ahead of where VY and Jake were at game 3 (both 1st round picks).

Are there areas of his game where he can improve? Absolutely. But if the last 3 weeks is any indication, he will continue to grow and improve. No QB is perfect (even Manning played like crap this week). But for his 3rd start, I sure was expecting a LOT more mistakes from him.
