I'm not making comparisons. I'm just giving you a reason why it doesn't make sense to label a guy as garbage after he plays three games.

"He's no Tom Brady". Nobody knew Tom Brady was any good until he played. If I remember correctly, he had a pretty solid team around him also.

Not saying Zach is Tom Brady, but I think he is far outplaying his 6th round status. A few mistakes here and there are to be expected. I bet Brady threw an interception in his first couple of games too. No one thought he would win 3 superbowls after his first 3 starts either.

Point being... I think we roll with Mett next season as long as he continues playing decently and progressing. Been a while since we had a qb look even remotely close to as good as Mett has between preseason and the few starts, IMO.

I label him as garbage because he was garbage in college. He had NFL talent around him. NFL coaching. Did nothing with it.

He's the kind of guy that needs everything around him to work in order to be successful. Pass protection needs to be solid. WRs need a good catch radius. Needs to be in an offense that runs the ball so defenses can't tee off on him. Even then he crumbles when it gets tough.

I don't buy the "he did it on the big stage on Monday Night Football" thing. No one cared about this game. There were 30,000 people in the stands. No one expects anything from this team. He's playing with house money at this point.

Hack it up for Hackenberg in 2015.

He hasn't been bad.. and has shown improvement each week. He seems confident, and that's what we need. Remember, he's only started 3 games now.. and even if we needed a QB next April...will we lose out and/or chose wisely? Not too sure.

But the last two weeks we've played against defenses who are starting guys from the street. The Ravens had a career backup at safety starting at CB. That's how banged up their secondary is right now. The Steelers were missing five starters including two in the secondary.

    I'm not a believer.

Using your logic, every QB the Titans face really suck because they're only playing against the Titans.

Truth is EVERY team has injurys. EVERY Qb faces teams with injuries. So I guess we chalk up every QBs greatness or lack there of to who plays on the other side of the ball now.

    Because that's what I said.

Playing not awful against guys who were not in the NFL two weeks ago is nothing to put your faith in. That goes for the WRs too. Justin Hunter is crap for not being able to beat those guys.

I don't even know who Hackenberg is... looked him up and is this the Penn State QB who has 7 TDs to 14 INTs this season? No thanks. This is one of those rare cases where I can look at stats and make up my mind.

Nope. He sucks. Period. Hope the Texans take him.

Yeah, he was a lot better as a freshman. He's the only QB I know for next year's class that had a catchy slogan though...

Again, the greats have had good games against scrubs too. I'm sure they've had horrible games against scrubs also. It's not all about the opponent and how a QB "should" play against an certain players.
