@520's posts look like someone was texting and driving and had an accident mid post. Then continues to post while in the midst of burning alive.

You can't say Mett is better because of Whiz because there is no way of telling. Lewan I'd say is playing well despite this coaching staff. Honestly, I (and many others) thought we should have gotten a lot more out of the OL last year with a HOF OL coach and a HOF OL as our HC. But the line this year (even if you count Roos and Lewan as a wash) is MUCH worse than last year both in pass pro and in run blocking. I don't see the expected improvement from Schwenke and Chance and our Levitre is arguably playing worse.

If you were to argue it out...QB play is probably worse, OL is worse, RB doesn't count (new personel), DW is definitely better, WR corp is definitely worse. On D our DL is a wash. LB's are not comparable with mostly new starters. Cb's (not counting BWW or Verner) are the same though we got a 1 game improvement out of Griffin. All told, this team is performing worse than last year and will likely finish with a worse record though I'm fine with our current strategy to see what we have for the future.

But the overall results are certainly worse and we look worse. But so what. Whiz is our coach now and Webster is our current GM. Change may happen but they will likely give Whiz the chance to draft his QB and another year for playoffs or drastic improvement.

And Whiz had NOTHING to do with CJ leaving, it was a forgone conclusion. With his poor effort (3.5ypc) and being one of the top paid RB's in the league, they asked him to take a paycut and he refused. He then went out and ran his hardest all year and put up 125+yds against the Texans vaunted D to show others he still 'had it!' But we had to cut him because he wasn't worth that kind of money and he wasn't running hard. He was on his way out the door long before he got cut!

Another thing to remember about Sankey is he did not get a lot of touches early in the season. He really just got the starting nod when Greene got hurt. A lot of games he only got a handful of carries. He hasn't stood out as great yet, but once that line starts playing better (If it ever does) he will show us something. I like the kid.

JC, a week or 2 ago you were just telling me that Mett would shock me and make me a believer. Now you do not even know if you want him on the team next year?? What's up man?? Have you already given up on the guy you were selling me on?

No Im still in his corner, but after 2 games he hasn't done much in the way of impress anyone. And I would hate to see this team held back again because of inept QB play. I dont give up on any player 2 games into their careers, but Im not married to the guy either.

If Mett isn't the guy then we need to not waste anymore time on him, therefor hes in my maybe category.

2 games into his career is much too soon to determine his future, but unless he comes out firing lasers in the next game or two I wont still be encouraged by his raw measurables and college performances the same way I was 2 and 3 weeks ago..

Im not selling my Mett stock just yet, but it needs to start paying off soon.

I think Mett looked great tonight. He had the one that was behind Hunter for the pick 6; but really if Hunter had been in position that's probably not a pick 6. Maybe it is, but if Hunter doesn't trip over his own feet I think it hits him. Not sure he would catch it, but don't think Gay scores.

He had a few passes that he hasn't accurate, but all QBs do, especially rookies. Playing against a tough Steelers D he had a great game IMO.

A tough Steelers' D that was missing five starters. Almost 1/4 of Mett's production came off of one blown coverage.

The guy is going to swindle us into giving him another year. We're going to suck again.
