I saw the Ravens adjust to quick short plays in the game when they saw Flacco was off.

Why couldn't our brilliant coaching staff adjust as well if Mett was continually being harassed? Screens, crossing patterns, slants, etc...?

yeah. Doesn't look like they were doing Mett any favors. Exact opposite of the last few years, where Locker was coddled with numerous screens to Wright.

If players are needing time to get open we need to be calling more play action. Or run quicker developing routes. But theres no way its that simple because that would have been fixed by any half competent coach.

Times have been updated. I started once the ball was on its way to Mett, and stopped at contact leading to the sack. In other words, I didnt count the .5 seconds it took for him to go down once he was being sacked.

While doing this, I saw Metts interception as well. That was on him, bad decision and tried to force the ball.

I tend to agree with this. There was one play where Mett could have possibly avoided one of the sacks if Wright had stood where he was instead of trying to extend the play.

It would have been a pro move though, one I dont think Mett would have made.

Agreed. Bottom line is on the sacks, no WR was looking for Mett to get the ball to them. I guess he could have just thrown it up, but that would only work if it were a timing route. I dont believe that was the case.

I still plan on doing the second half sometime today. Not as detailed, but to judge Mett's reads/playcalling/protection.

I saw a bit of playaction. I think more quickly developing routes would do the trick.

They obviously want to push the ball down the field, but ill review the second half more before saying TOO much yet.

From what I read earlier in the season, Whiz wants his receivers to run their routes and run it how he wants them to run it. He wants everything to be timed and done a certain way.

Don't expect any of our WR's to try to sit in a zone or do anything to help the QB anytime soon.
