    I thought Mett took a nice step forward for a quarter or so, then started backpedaling the rest of the game. You can't miss like 3 easy 3rd down throws!

    I don't think we have THAT many positions to upgrade but any QB we could take in rnd 1 is gonna have big question marks. Winston isn't a perfect QB on the field with just some off the field stuff, he has on the field issues too and do you want a guy who keeps breaking rules as the head of your franchise? Do you want to give him $50million? Mariota has ZERO experience in a conventional offense (not even in high school) so while he has a ton of talent, you either have to teach him from scratch or change the entire offense (which I don't see with Whiz being the HC). So what round 1 QB is there to take?

    We need at least 1 pass rusher and at least 1 OL. Ideally I'd upgrade with 2 pass rushing OLB's, a OG, OT, S and a true FB and look to get another RB, WR, TE as well as backup OL. Some of this can be aquired in FA and the rest in the draft. All of these issues can be addressed.

    But unless you want Winston and think you can get him or prepared to sit Mariota a year, any change at QB will have to come from FA or a trade. Hoyer maybe? If TB is gonna take QB maybe they're willing to trade Glennon?

    Whiz is bad, pretty real bad.

    In other news, Mettenberger is a STATUE!! A Ravens defender said it best yesterday, "we know exactly where Mett is gonna be." If we wanted to win we'd be starting Locker, he gives us the best chance. But I know we don't want to win, we're already in player evaluation mode.

    Mett is not a statue. He can move around very well when edge rushers get through. His issue is when the pressure comes from the middle. He just backs up and hopes someone gets open. He needs to learn to take a few steps out of the pocket and throw the ball away. That can and will be fixed.


    Start Locker? Are you kidding? Where have you been the past 4 years?

    I think what JWill was saying is that, if we wanted to win right now, Locker gives us the best shot of doing that of the three QBs we have on the roster right now. I agree with this.

    However, as he also mentioned, we are not in the "win now" mode, but rather are in the talent evaluation mode, which means that Mett needs to get the looks in order to make long term personnel decisions at the position.

    I think that Whis is doing the right thing by playing Mett now, but I would not say that he gives us the best chance to win right now. However, in this situation winning "right now" does not help with the decisions that will have to be made at the end of the season IMO.

    Mett is in fact a Statue, period. I'd like to see him side step and move around in the pocket, but all he does is stand straight up and step into his throw. This makes the job of the pass rusher that much easier, and considering our OLine sucks, makes for a pretty real bad combination.

    I am for giving Whiz time...fishface F'ed this team up and webster has F'ed up the draft (jury out on this year). Find a real GM, and draft/FA football players....not projects.

    Fisher been gone from this team since Jan 2011. I can only think of 4-5 players on this team now that played for him in his final season with the Titans. To keep blaming Fisher for the way this team is playing is ridiculous
