Or is it more on the offense?

Basically this pertains more toward the offseason than this year.

I hear a lot of people (including myself) keep saying that we need to focus on our D in this draft/FA, but is that really the case?

After watching the game yesterday, the D put up a valiant effort to hold the Ravens to only 21 points. I know that our D needs some work, but the offense really puts them in bad situations drive after drive, game after game. And yet, they still manage to be ranked 21st.

And considering, the Titans are transitioning to a 3-4, it makes it even more impressive that the D is performing the way that it is.

I'm not saying that we have the potential to be a top 10 D right now, nor am I saying that we don't need some players on D, but right now it seems as if the offense is holding us back more than anything.

Even if we had the #1 D in the NFL, only scoring 7 points wouldn't be enough to win us any games.

I am starting to think that focusing on the O is the better option. We NEED to score points, and ball control/field position/scoring would help the D out more than any 1 player we could draft IMO.

Defense is holding their own, offense is suffocating this team right now tho.

Avery Williamson is a potential 5th round home run.

The defense is playing alright considering what we are working with.

The offense has no excuse with the WR group, RB group and names on the offensive line.

I expect Mett to struggle but the pieces around him are solid.

    Lewan
    Warmack
    Levitre
    Oher
    Hunter
    Wright
    Washington
    Sankey
    Greene
    McCluster
    Walker

If you would have showed me that list of names two years ago, I would have assumed pro bowlers and playoff appearances.

That isn't to say that we still need a fierce OLB, FS/SS, and another DT.

Well, as great as WRs, RBs and TEs can be, the offense really boils down to 2 things QB and OL. None of the other positions can function without those 2 key areas.

And, right now those are our 2 weakest areas. OL is a disaster, and we are starting a rookie QB. We have, IMO, addressed 1 area already (QB). We are seeing if Mett can be the future or not, which is the right move IMO.

It appears Webster is safe, but he is on the hot seat right now for the OL IMO. Tommy already called the OL out, and basically gave Webster the permission to blow it up regardless of money/draft status (Warmack/Levitre) ... To me that is saying, 'here is your chance to fix your mistake'

There are a lot of holes on this team, and on the D. But would a fierce OLB, FS/SS and DT help the offense score more than 7 points? No.

IT doesn't matter how good the D is if we can't put up points on O. And with a decent O, this D looks a lot better ... Can't say that having a good D is going to make the O look better.

IMO it is better for the team overall to fix the offense (which starts upfront)

The defense has definitely gotten better as the season has progressed. BWW is still a lock to give up at least one deep ball a game though. Pass rush when we don't bring the house still sucks though.

The offense generates nothing and I can't remember the last time we won the special teams battle for an entire game.
