He deserves a pass this year for a number of reasons. But yeah, if there's little to no improvement next year then it's time to go.

How bad is Chris Spencer if he isn't getting PT over Levitre or Schwenke? I get not benching Chance because of the first round pick invested in him, but the other two? ****'em.

That one must be a little different than the one I read. It didn't say anything about playoffs or Super Bowl.

Of course mine was the ESPN article because I got a sports center update about it.

At this point, with the season being over, I think you just roll with Schwenke and hope he improves. We don't really have anything to lose anymore.

Look at the Colts what the Colts did when Pagano took over. I think in his first year they had 60/90 new players at camp. Then by year two it was all Pagano guys no one from the old regime.

Whiz thought this team was a playoff ready team and found out quickly it wasn't. Don't be surprise if it's a whole new team come next year. We already have Lewan, Sankey, Mett, Williamson starting. Huff and Jones getting significant playing time. Thats our whole draft class. On top of McCluster, Oher, Woodyard.

We already started to see the gutting process take place.

"I think a realistic expectation is to be in the Super Bowl in 2017. People may be disappointed and say, "What is Smith talking about 2017 for? Well, I have to have realistic expectations. If we could win out this year that would be good, if we can get to the playoffs it would be a gift from God. But next year I am counting on getting in the playoffs and the next year I am planning on taking it to the next level, and getting back to the Super Bowl."

Absoutely. It reminded me of Bud Adams when I was reading that. "Losing is unacceptable but the coach and GM are safe". So basically you are just "acting" upset about losing.

There were 2 times I remember as a titans fan where I actually thought "our owner wants to win" it was when we got Moss off of waivers (I will never forgive Fisher for how he handled that) and when he was going after Peyton Manning.

I hope Tommy is different, but I'm not holding my breath. And like I said earlier, I'm done falling for this crap. I'll believe it when I see it.

I literally laughed out loud at the "it would be a gift from God comment"

Well that sounds great on paper and I'm happy those are his expectations. But it was an interview and if he said anything differnent I think the fans would be pissed. He knows that. He has to at least act upset about the results. We wil see how serious he is about winning this offseason. Time to nut up or shut up.
