What are your expectations for the second half?

Pretty much I am hoping to see as many guys I can be optimistic about as possible. But I am not holding out much hope.

1. Yes, we need to find out one way or another about Mett. Uncertainty would be the worst.
2. Hunter needs to decide whether or not he wants to be an NFL player.
3. I had a dream last night the Levitre was benched -- we can only hope. If he improves some I could see him staying with a pay cut. If he keeps going the way he has then I do not want him back at all.
4. BWW is still young and raw, I have hope for him.
5. We have been let down by rookie LBs who failed to mature into solid players -- Ayers, Brown and McCarthy. Let's hope Williamson is not another in that line.
6. Character is not an easy thing to develop.

Me too. Either Jacksonville or the Jets.

 

I am really hoping that we come together on offense. The defense need a lot of work. There are so many holes on defense that we could draft defense the whole draft and not cover them all. We need an elite LB/pass rusher. Getting that pass rusher is a must this year. I don't care if its FA or the draft we have to have that pass rusher this year.

Our WR group will need a lot of work this off season as well. I could keep on rambling on about what we need to fix or patch with every group I guess.

My biggest hope is that Mett does shock me and become the guy. We need that 1st round pick to go on a playmaker on either side of the ball. If QB is taken care of it will make life much easier as a Titans fan.

 

Good QB's make WR's good. Bad QB's make WR's bad. Look at what Lafell is doing in NE.

 

I think you pretty much nailed it.

Priority #1 is find out what we have with Mett. If he's horribly inconsistent or gets hurt for any significant period of time as you mentioned, I think we have to go into the offseason as if he's not the guy.

I agree on Hunter. The dude sucks and I have zero faith in him. But given what we've put into him and the fact that the season is over we just need to get him out there as much as possible and it either clicks for him or he crashes and burns. Either way, we'll be better off next year for it.

IDK why, but I actually have a good feeling about BWW. I think it's gonna click for him and he'll turn out to be a solid corner. He obviously needs all the reps he can get though.

 

Having a franchise QB hides a lot of your teams holes. When you don't have one, it exploits them.

 

You know we read here on this forum we want Mett to the real thing and be the man. But for that to happen, we can't suck and tank. I hate losing and tanking . I think Mett the guy , we win and come together and fight and move forward. Don't know where all this wanting to lose comes from. Isn't thst tge reason people on this board are fed up. Losing!! Go Titans !!

I expect that we'll have a few more things to complain about after the Raven's game. It sucks because... God I hate the Ravens!

 

The offense has been totally out of sync because of all the penalties that we have had. The play of the OL has really destroyed the team this year. Offense can't stay on the field and defense gets totally worn down. Offense has to abandon the running game because we are so far behind.

I really hope the OL can get their act together so that we can get a better evaluation of Mett, Sankey, and Hunter.

If Mett and Hunter can build some chemistry and both show they can be play makers then that would allow us to really focus our off season energy into the defense.

 

I expect to see a PLAYOFF RUN!!!

The season is half way over and we have played like crap, but yet (after the Giants beat the Colts tonight) the Titans are only 2 games down in the division. We still play the Colts and Texans so we can move it to within 1 game of those teams. And I am 100% confident they will lose to 1 other team.

So I expect to see a Titanic re-birth and a comeback season for the ages. It is a brand new season after the bye week. The Mettsiah is our QB and he will lead us to the promised land. He will hold his team accountable and the OL penalties WILL STOP THIS WEEK.

Once the penalties stop, you will see a snowball effect that will transform this team. The Titans offense will start clicking, and the D will be able to get more rest, and play aggressive on the field since we will no longer be playing from behind.

Titans finish this season by winning 7 out of the next 8 games and steal this division to make it to the playoffs.


YEAH! Mondays are soo much more optimistic when the Titans don't play on Sunday.
