I don't think too highly of his 1st rnd picks. Jake not a franchise QB, Wright not a #1 WR. Just a slot guy who is quick but not fast and doesn't cause a physical mismatch. If I'm drafting WR in the 1st, I want them to have the potential to be a true #1. Warmack has been a bust for his draft status. An OG in the 1st rnd should be a stud and taken top 10 they should have HOF potential. It is too early to say much about Lewan, but he looks like Websters best 1st rnd pick.

Wright was in no way worth a 1st round pick. Surely that's something we can all agree on. The cutoff for a successful pick in the 1st shouldn't just be that a guy needs to be a starter, he has to be a difference-maker.

Wright isn't in the top 25 WRs in the NFL.

I never judge a player until year three. By then, a first, second or third-round pick needs to be a solid starter at the minimum. First round picks need to be impact guys who schemes are built around and opposing teams focus on. So here's what we have:

    2012
Wright - he's solid, IMO. He flashes difference-maker potential
Brown - mediocre last season and out now
    Martin - mediocre

    2011
Locker - never consistent in his play or being able to play
Ayers - have to call him a bust
    Casey - true impact player.

    2010
Morgan - solid but no where close to being an impact player
    D. Williams - bust-o-la
    Curran - total bust

    2009
Britt - for short time was an impact player but inconsistent
Marks - was solid at times but inconsistent
Cook - was solid at time but inconsistent
    Mouton - complete bust

Of these 13 players who should be solid to impact players, we have one to two at the most. There's only really two to three solid players in the entire mix.

Hard to judge WR when QB can't get them the ball either. Just saying .

With a QB he would be top 20 easily.

Sankey took a minute to figure out the pro style but he's been good once we've actually given him the ball.

3rd round pick good. Not second

Sankey might have better opportunities if our OL would stop getting laundry placed all over the field. 1st and 20 are usually not running downs.
