I still get a little pukey thinking about the 99 draft. Bengals stuck to their guns and drafted friggin Akili Smith instead trading down and taking ALL of the Saints as well as drafting Champ Bailey.

The single most colossal, franchise-crushing mistake any team has probably ever made.

That's why I said I would have to look at a list of them before taking an official stance on him.

Top 10 for sure. Maybe top 5.

Off the top of my head, there's Darrell Green, Rod Woodson, Charles Woodson, and Deion Sanders.

Yea, he had a great career and was one of the best at the cb spot. Always thought it was a stupid trade to trade him to Denver because they could have got another rb to come in and have the production that Portis had. Think about the success Washington's defense could have had with Champ Bailey and Sean Taylor on the field together.

Also Night Train and Mel Blount. Not sure if Ronnie Lott would qualify as CB --- he was a pro bowler at CB, FS, and SS in different years.

Im too young to really know much about Blount, but from the film Ive seen, no way he'd be able to get away with mauling WR's how he did in the 70's.

Rod Woodson and it's not close. That guy ruined more games for opponents than anyone I can remember.
Mel Blount would not have been as successful in the hands-off era...

Yeah one of those players that you watched games just because he was playing. When he lost a step he switched to Safety and excelled at that too.

Charles Woodson has to be up there with the greatest too.

Ehhh. He was a little over rated. Dude was always injured yet somehow made the pro-bowl consistently.
