    Anyone catch this on HBO?
Foo Fighters document musical scenes from various US cities and record one song in each city.
First episode featured Chicago and showed some really cool stuff like Albini, Dave's family/childhood indoctrination into punk rock etc. Rick Neilson is featured, etc. Very cool stuff.

One of the upcoming episodes highlights Nashville.

Liked it quite a bit. Took the best of what he did with the Sound City doc. Focused on the history and such. Looking forward to the next episode.

Did you catch the momentary glimpse of Lieper's Fork in the opening?

I didn't, but still have it on DVR. The opening has alot of Nashville shots in it. Think it is a very cool concept. I'm a fan of Grohl and the Foo's. He does have to be careful not to cross the "pretentious" musician line. Like the new song as well.

    I loved that song.
The restrained vintage guitar tones are so rare in popular music today.
It was a bit of great old Cheap Trick and a bit of Foo alchemy.

Episode 2 was great as well. That whole Dischord scene etc was a huge part of my life as a teen. Ian Mackaye looks so old :-(
