Titans seriously need to have another draft contest, winner gets to decide the pick.

Winston's the guy who says "they gave us too much time with 17 seconds" and plays to win every game. Mariotta and Oregon have lost a puffball game every year.

Like him or not Winston has a killer F'n instinct and something this team possesses ZERO of. VY had a little bit of that feeling his first two years but I think his confidence got destroyed and clearly he was a diva.

I just want someone whose not going to dance in the pocket like locker or Whitehurst and every time were down I think this guy is going to drive us down the field and kick ass.

Because I never feel that way with titans offense now. Hell we could be up 21 in the fourth and not close them out.

I like the idea of Winston. He'd be a sure fire #1 overall if it was not for off the field issues.

25th best guard still sucks ass.

For being taken #10, he should've come in and been a top 5 guard immediately. Elite as in what top 10? That's still not good enough.

Winston is hands down the best QB prospect in this class. But he does so many bonehead things now, how's he gunna act when he starts cashing million dollar checks. Part of me wants to blame it on being a 20 year old college kid, but the more it keeps happening it makes me wonder if it's something more. I wouldn't mind it with 2nd or 3rd, but a first (and a top 5 one at that) is just too much to risk. Maybe if he goes the rest of the season without making headlines, I'd consider it. That stat posted earlier is amazing. Kid is a gamer for sure.

Winston reminds me a ton of McNair. I think Whiz would want him more then Mariota since Winston makes reads in a prostyle offense.

I'd go with Winston. He has his off the field issues but a lot of that is magnified in this day and age. Plenty of former pro bowl QBs would have been in trouble in the past if twitter was around 20 years ago. It's a QB league and 9 times out of 10 you aren't going to be a contender until you get one so I'm all for taking a chance on a guy with so much talent.

The other thing that is "magnified" in this day and age is the lost field time associated with off field issues. AP has been the best RB in the league over the past few years and he is not exactly helping his team right now because of his off field issues. Same for Ray Rice. Both are healthy, ready to go, and done for the season.

My point is that, in addition to my concerns with Winston because he allegedly committed a violent crime, his antics will likely make him as available to us as a game day player as Locker has been. If he gets suspended for a season due to one of his "issues" he becomes nothing more than a game day winning million dollar paperweight to us. This is something that seems to be getting overlooked (by what I have been reading here anyway) when this whole discussion about off-field issues comes up, and it is a new risk item that all teams will likely be factoring in. We should as well, which makes me very reluctant to roll with Winston (along with my obvious concerns from a moral perspective).

Ya know, I really can't believe I'm saying this as I've been firmly against it but I am coming around on Winston. Yes, he is a turd of a human being. Yes, he's red flag central. And yes, he would appear to be the last person you would want as the face of you franchise.

But f*** it, perhaps the franchise needs to take this type of risk/reward gamble. I do like Winston, as a player, more so than Mariota (In fact, I'm not high on Mariota at all). Winston's been an idiot for sure, BUT he is 20 years old. Honestly, I think there's probably a 50/50 chance he continues to be an idiot in the pros or he matures and puts his past behind him. Risky odds for sure. But if it turns out to be the latter he might end up being a decade plus LEGITIMATE franchise QB.

Like I said, perhaps we need to take a risk at this point. If he busts or continues to be a turd off the field well then we wasted a first round pick. What's new?

I'm not fully advocating for him. But I'm not against him anymore. Then of course there is the question of whether or not we will even be in position to take him.

Regardless, we gotta get Mettenberger out there to see what we have in the guy.

The only thing Winston has done that would cost him game time is the alleged rape incident. Randle just stole and only received a fine. Unless people think that Winston is a serious criminal they probably shouldn't be all that worried about him missing time.
