Jake returns to practice

CBJ does have some feel for the game, but yea I tend to think he'd wet his pants at the sight of Watt+Clowney.

 

This is the master plan. Best bet for CBJ to get injured is in this game, getting crushed by JJ and Clowney. Then it is only a matter of time before Jake gets injured (who knows, maybe Whiz gets lucky and CBJ gets hurt early in this game so there is still enough time for Jake to get injured as well)

Then we can all sit back and watch the Mettshow unfold

 

Actually, This is the best case scenario for this team. CBJ comes out and beats WAS. Since he is on a 2 game win streak, and looking more confident, Whiz names him as the starter.

CBJ starts against the Texans, but is quickly injured. Jake comes in and plays great, giving the Titans a comfortable lead before getting injured. Titans end up beating the Texans but lose both QBs.

Titans go into the bye week 4-4 preparing for Mett to start. Mett gets the nod in week 10, and the Titans never look back.

Mett goes 6-2 as a starter. The Titans win the AFCS AND found their future QB in Mett.







And I win the lottery.

 

It amazes me how everyone on this board is brainwashed by the thought that Mettenberger is the future. HE'S NOT THAT GOOD. we are going to pull a big name FA in the offseason or draft someone and Mett still isn't going to start, or even be backup, next season. everyone keep your delusional Mett thoughts to yourselves.

But the point that you are missing is that Mett is the key to our next franchise QB.

If Mett plays, then there are only 2 scenarios.

1) He is good

2) He is not good

If he is good, then we can all be happy that we found our next QB.

If he is not good, then he will lose us several games and we end up with a good draft pick where we can take our next QB. (and no one ever wonders 'what if')

Either scenario is better than Jake/CBJ

 

Not every fan wants to give up on the season less than half way in when we could easily be 4-4 at the bye. Putting Mett in would be signaling the end of the season. Everyone on here is still reeling from that Browns loss and ALMOST jaguars loss I understand but... it is not Mett time.

 

the only possible big name FAs available will be Hoyer or Sam Bradford. No to bradford because he's injury prone like Locker but we could easily offer Hoyer a real contract and then draft defensively with our first pick. If Hoyer stays in cleveland I imagine the brownies will then try to trade away Johnny Foosball and we could give them a 2nd round pick or lower and STILL go defensively in the first pick.

In either scenario Mett is still 3rd string next season cuz CBJ isn't leaving whiz's side.
