Has Warmack really been that bad? I see Levitre blown significantly more than anybody else. And I've seen Schwenke blown up about the same as Warmack.

How long (seasons) on average does it take for a guard or center to achieve their peak performance? I say this because sucky line play has followed Bruce Matthews coaching.

Am I wrong to hope that a season with different coaching will produce different results in our young player performance and development?

Levitre is the biggest disappointment based on his HUGE contract. Talk about robbing us. Guy clearly doesn't care or we largely overestimated him.

Warmack hasn't been quite as bad, but he hasn't been good and that's bad news for a #10 draft pick GUARD. I don't know what's wrong with this guy, but he's been average at best.

Oher is just avg. Plays hard, but doesn't have the skill.

OL may be my biggest gripe with this team, because how much they've invested and failed here.

Untalented, overpaid and overdrafted. It's not complicated.

What makes you say Levitre doesn't care? I think he's simply in over his head half the time. When he's not making bone headed penalties, he's being over powered by bigger players.

Levitre is the weakest link in my eyes. I'm no expert but his stance looks wrong to me. He looks to be rocked back on his hills to much which makes it easier to push him back. Coaching Oline on the middle school level has made this stand out to me because I've had to correct this with some of my players.

It's not so much that he's been terrible as it is he just hasn't even remotely lived up to his draft spot. But hopefully you are right and it's just taking awhile to get Matthews' stink off Warmack and the rest of this OL.

OL is one of those positions where you really benefit from experience (I know you can say that for any position but I think it's especially true for linemen). It's tough for most guys to come in and be dominant right away. A lot of these guys relied on pure power and athleticism in college and that just isn't enough at this level. They need to learn all the little nuances and whatnot.

Maybe Warmack still transforms into a beast. But as of right now it's a pick I wish we could have a do-over with. Sheldon Richardson, Star Lotulelei.... both taken after we selected the "can't miss" guard. Either of those guys would have a very noticeable impact on our defense. While Warmack is just kinda "there" for our offense.

Thats just his style. He's a smaller Guard, we should try pulling him more, he's good in space when he's able to come down hill. Once he's moving back thats when DT's can man handle him, just dont put him in the situation.

Him being put in that position is inevitable you can't pull Levitre on every play to mask his flaws. He sucks and needs to be benched.

He's definitely gone after this year, makes way too much money and has holes in his game. The trouble I have with Levitre isn't Levitre, its what people have expected out of him. He's never been all that amazing, so IDK why fans thought he'd all of a sudden become an All-Pro in TN.

He filled a need which was nice, but I personally never viewed him as a guy who would come in and play amazing football.

Well when you get paid that much money it raises expectations. But still, the problem is not that he's not been an all-pro. It's that he hasn't even been good. Seems like he hurts us more often than he helps us. And you don't need that from one of your starters regardless of how much he makes.
