really hard to judge this win considering who the opponent was. I don't really consider the jags a test at all. Players are getting praise now but let's see what happens in the next few weeks when we play some decent teams although I think this year I would rather not see what happens lol

That is true, but they are not rebuilding like we are this year. Did the Colts draft middle of the pack when they turned it around from 2-14 to playoffs in one year? Uhhh- no. They rebuilt with Luck, once they replaced their franchise QB.

That's how you play the long game. Winning isn't as high a priority as evaluating your young talent and acquiring key pieces through the draft. In our case, I don't believe there is an elite QB in this upcoming class. But our D has more holes than a screen door. We need pass rushers. We need a monster NT. We need ILB's. We appear to need secondary help.

I also agree with you (and others) that we seem to miss too often on our early round draftees. I'd like to see us hire some better scouting talent. I thought we had hired some better coaching to assist with player development, but at this point I'm not certain about that.

I understand, but I feel like I would be irate if we went the Texans route and didn't draft a QB in the first.

Exactly. If they had our QB situation, they'd be in a big heap of trouble, too.

I'm definitely not sulking. A win is a win. That said, it's tough to feel very good about the state of our team after that one. Sure some guys looked good but at the end of the day I just can't help but look at who the competition was. A winless team who is hands down the worst in the league. No real playmakers on offense. And a defense that is allowing the 2nd most PPG in the entire league.

We won 16-14. 2 points. In our house. And we still almost gave it away at the end. Thank god Sammie Hill decided to make his first play since we signed him.

Like I said, a win's a win. But I'm not any more encouraged by this team today than I was one week ago. We're straight garbage. We're getting slaughtered by good teams and just barely squeaked by a winless team.

We need to win decisively against very bad teams and/or beat some actual good teams before I can feel positive about the state of this team.

    things about the collapse sunday

the Titans continue to NOT play fundemental football. That not wrap hit that allowed the TD with 40 seconds left should be punished - but we all know it wont be

Wimbley finally makes a play and lays there stopping the clock and burning a Titan TO. Unless you have a compound spine injury you get your dumb arse up and go to the sideline with your boo-boo you stupid SOB!

I swear the Titans must use the hot iron test while interviewing. Any player who dont touch it at least 3 times during the interview is not made an offer by Rueston

Things 'la Vagician' did/didnt do that pizzed me off sunday
1 got burned like Toast Jenkins on the tarpkitties opening drive. Thats 7 on you f@ggot
2 declined any attempt at tackling on the Bortles TD pass with 40 seconds left in game. Just stood there like a retard. I mostly blame the guy who was in position so no point for f@ggot Griffin - But I got my eye on your you B'tard
3 dedided actually catching the onsides kick was not the best play. Again no points but 'la Vagician' sucks more than the Ferguson police department.

'la vagician' ruining Titan sundays since 2007

still cant believe this Texas arse clown was a first round pick. hangin's to good for'em

We are a re-building team with a bunch of young guys who need to learn how to win. I'm glad we won. We are going to have a draft pick in the top 1/3 of the draft because we aren't very good. We have shown that we can't play with the good NFL teams like the Cowboys and Colts. They dominate us. We can play with the mediocre and bad teams, but we have no guaranteed wins. Looking ahead at the schedule we still have some bad/mediocre teams to play...Jags, Jets, Giants, Skins, Steelers, Texans x2. We only have the Ravens, Eagles, and Colts who I would say are top tier teams.

Don't get hyped about our defense holding the Jags to 14 points. This Jags team has no weapons...RB/WR/TE...a bunch of no names. Once we face a real offense with a stud WR or RB we will see the BWW love stop. I'm glad he stepped up and made a few plays today and I hope he continues to improve and shows he can be a #2 CB. Our secondary looks good playing the minor league receivers of KC and Jags. Our DL/ rush defense looks ok against a bad OL and no RB. I think we will see Alfred Morris and Arian Foster quite a bit over the next 2 weeks.

I thought Lewan played well. He pancaked his guy on the goal line TD run. We need Warmack to start playing some ball. He still is screwing up way too much. I'm excited to continue seeing the progress of Sankey, Wright, and Hunter.

    Go Titans!!!
