Yes you read that right ... Be sure to read it carefully ...

Colts fans had the "Suck for Luck" campaign going a few years back - now is it time for Titans fans to start the "Suck for Duck" campaign? We it looks like its already underway - even the jersey is being made.

Before people say "boo hoo take your fan card away!" Do you really want to win enough to not get a meaningful pick but not win enough to make the playoffs? - Haven't we all seen that song and dance too many times before?

Then of course you will have some fans say they rather see Mett get his chance.

Others who will say Mariota is just a runner and not going to translate into the NFL - even though hes shown he has a high completion rate in college.

Me personally have been on the Hundley bandwagon from UCLA for awhile now and honestly never pictured Matiota as a Titan but apparently a lot of fans are now considering the real possibility of it.

Whatever the case, at least fans are speaking out and showing some emotion, albeit cheering that the Titans lose out in 2014 ... A loss vs Jax this week, may just get the campaign really moving foward!

    With the 1st pick ...????

well at least you managed to come up witha a good line.

Luck was differnt though as he was probably the safest QB prospect since Peyton Manning. Mariota is nowhere near as safe as he does not play in a pro style offense like Luck did. the failure rate for these spread hit shots is rather high in the nfl.

Yeah im in no way whatsoever comparing the two in any way.

Just thought the article was a way of the fan base revolting against the franchise - cheering for them to lose out.

I understand majority wont do that but to me it shows something from a starved fan base to at least want change and start a campaign -'who knows if this will come to fruition but curious to see how it plays out especially if they lose to the hapless Jags

Agreed. And it's likely he doesn't fit into Whiz's offensive scheme either.

Doesn't matter what the fans think or want.

Personally, I'm not sold him. Wouldn't hate the pick. But would remain cautiously optimistic until he proves it on the field. Sure wish there was an Andrew Luck in this draft.

The best case scenario is obviously for Mett to be the guy and then we can use our first on defense. But the odds are against that.

I doubt this is a super popular thing in TN yet, but I`m all in for Mariota.

All joking aside, I don`t view Mariota as a sure bet, but I want him. He certainly isn`t a sure thing like Luck was.. But I`d side with him being a franchise QB. I get the concerns with the spread offense (and the fumbling), but the kid makes all the throws. Accuracy, his arm, play making ability etc, you can`t put that stuff on the spread offense.
