It's been 5 games. Give him the offseason and another year of just his guys, then evaluate him for the long term. I was firmly on the Webster bandwagon but now I'm firmly off. I thought he made some nice picks but a lot of these guys have not panned out. Still not a fan of Warmack or Lewan in the 1st. He's also given out some pretty bad contracts.

Is there anyone in our system that could do a job as our next GM? I highly doubt we bring in someone from the outside.

Ruston is definitely terrible and hopefully will be fired after the season.

Time for Titans patented "onside kick because WGAF" football from here on out. They ought to go all out. Nothing to lose. Literally impossible to be any worse this season. There is no silver lining. Might as well make it interesting.

In Websters defense, he has been building a 4-3 defense since he took over a couple of years ago and now has a 3-4 system. The reason I'm down on Whisenhunt are individual coaching decisions he makes during games that makes me believe he is not a very good head coach. He has never been any good without Kurt Warner. Swapping RB's all the time doesn't allow the team to get in a rythym and he should realize by now that Sankey should be on the field most of the game. Plus, Whiz just makes a lot of bonehead decisions during games. Great coaches don't. I know it would silly to fire him after 5 games but the small sample so far, leads me to believe we made a horrible choice hiring Whisenhunt.

Like Whis or not, I think we gotta give him 3 years (assuming his 2nd year isn't as bad as this one). He's been to a SB as a HC and won one as a OC. He knows what winning football is. And let's be honest, he inherited a complete and utter mess here.

I'm not defending that terrible coaching performance we saw today. Just saying let's keep some perspective. We have one of the worst QB situations in the entire league and we only have one legitimate playmaker on defense. I'd like to see what he can do with another year in the system and another offseason of talent acquisition before we go running him out of town.

Yep. Coaches are usually only as good as their best QB. Dungy without Manning, and Belicheck without Brady are totally forgettable coaches.

Holmgren without Favre, Reid without Mcnabb. Same story.

As much as I don't like Pete Carroll, he seems to be an exception to the rule. He polished a turd, and turned it golden.

I thought today's game was supposed to be a sure win. Now we are command of the bottom rung.

Ruston has made A LOT of terrible decisions since taking over. You're supposed to draft and bring in good players regardless of scheme. So I'm not sure I'm buying "he was building for a 4-3" as an excuse.

As for Whis, even though I'm still in his corner I can't really disagree with anything you said.

Yea, and his 4-3 guys sucked in a 4-3 too.

He decided to draft a QB with accuracy issues and invest a ton of money in mediocre OL while ignoring the front 7. I was against the Locker pick when we made it. I was against the Warmack pick when we made it. I was against the Lewan pick when we made it. FWIW, I wanted us to sign Levitre and did not like the Wright pick. So, yes, I am wrong at times, but not as often as he is... and that's the dude's job. He's making millions. Quit sucking so much.

Looking back on it all, I have no idea why I ever approved of him. He's trash.

Now I remember... Walker and Levitre were my top two choices in 2013 FA... we got both of them, and I was super happy. At least one of them has panned out. Levitre should not be on this roster next year.

I would not be upset if I woke up to news of whis fired.

Qb sneak call was inexcusable. It looks like whis doesn't have a clue. Let's not waste years on a coaching hire mistake.
