It is 100% Ruston Webster's fault so far.

Whisenhunt walked straight into this mess of a team.

Webster should be truly embarrassed for this sh*thole of an OL he has decided to build over the last couple of years.

Tommy Smith needs to fire Webster right now... And Kaczor, idiot ST coach, has gotta go too.

I do not put all of today's loss on the coaching, although they are not blameless either.

I am not ready to jump on this anti-Whis bandwagon yet. He has been our HC for five games, with three of them being against pretty good competition. We have completely changed our defensive scheme and do not have the optimum personnel for the new scheme yet.

I do like his style of calling out players when they screw up (like with Hunter a couple of weeks back and with Lewan today). Not all players respond well to this style, however, and they will need to be weeded out.

I want to see how they rebuild during the offseason before passing judgment on Whis here. If we are seeing the same crappy product on the field next year, I may have a different attitude though.

Agree on the ST coach....how we can have two perennial pro bowl returners looking like third team scrubs is inexplicable to me. Our return games truly suPk in all ways right now.

    Today, Whisenhunt was the problem.

Our (talentless) defense got two turnover on downs today. On the last one, we stopped them within 10 yards from our goalline. We come out with our backup quarterback and decide the throw the ball. Normally, I would love the aggressiveness. But, this team is struggling and desperately needed a win so I disagree with this strategy. In this situation, we are no longer playing against our opponent we are now playing against the clock. Why did he not run the ball to get the clock moving? First play was an incomplete pass and second play was an incomplete pass. Luckily on third down we complete a pass to Walker for the first down.

Now on the 4th down play, I actually agree with the decision to go for it. I disagree with the play called. You never run a quarterback sneak with a backup quarterback. Whitehurst looked akward like he had never performed a qb sneak before. Why not run your 235 lb. hammer (Greene) up the middle. I am not a big fan of his, but he is without a doubt one of the best 3rd and short runners in the league. All we needed was half a yard. These are the things that I don't understand about Whisenhunt. He is a creative offensive mind, but I swear he is trying to install a system instead of coaching to his players strengths. Why do we never see qb rollouts with Jake?

I feel for Horton on defense because he doesn't have anything to work with. After the draft he should get some weapons.

Damn, this is gonna be a long season.

No. Whiz has coached 5 games and has had one off-season to install a brand new offense and completely different defensive scheme.

Our problem is still the fact that we don't have a QB.

I understand (and slightly agree) but in this game, quarterback play did not lose it for us.

It's still retarded early to be giving up on Whisenhunt and declaring him a failure. But damn Whis, you sure ain't making it easy on us. I think it's absolutely fair to say that he cost us the game. Yes, several mistakes were made by the players. But the 4th down decision was absolutely inexcusable IMO. I called it in the gameday thread. 3 minutes left on your side of the field and up by 6..... I just don't know WTF he was thinking. You back them up deep and make them drive the field in a pressure situation. I'm very confident we're 2-3 right now if we had just punted.

And I still don't get why he's refusing to feed Sankey.

I think it's a little premature to be throwing in the towel on Wizz already.

There's definitely a few "head scratcher" moments but calling for a new coaches head 5 games into his first season with new systems on both sides of the ball and a talent starved roster is just silly and irrational if you ask me.
