Vs Cincinnati we ran 13 times on 1st downs and averged 4.8-yards per carry
Vs Indianapolis last week, 10 runs on 1st downs with 3.5-yards a carry

as I said, WE NEED TO RUN THE BALL MORE!!

If you are using that game to prove the run game is effective, you can also use it to prove the passing game, defense and special teams rock too.

Everything worked in that game. Totally different situation than what the Titans have faced the last three.

As for the rest of your stats, who is defending the run with a 14+ plus lead? If you want to gauge whether or not your run game is effective, do it when the game is close and it means something.

Got to look at the situation. It was balanced when the game was close.

If you don't pass, at least occasionally, do you honestly think the Cowboys don't adjust to slow the run? The key is balance until the score makes you one-dimensional which is what has happened the last three weeks.

Even when the game was close we still ran well, no need to get away from it at that point.

Where are the turnovers coming from? When we try throwing it....

Obviously you have to pass the ball to keep the defense honest, but Whiz isn't playing to our strengths, thats on him, not the RB's.

The problem I have is that there isn't a need to to abandon the run until the second half. Whiz seems bent on catching up immediately. A balanced approach (as long as we are moving the ball) keeps our D off the field and reduces the likelihood of a turnover. And that is where the game got away from us with the Colts.

Jake was coming off a good game. Do you take the ball out of Jake's hands when you're running your basic offense and become one-dimensional? Of course not.

We only got away from the run when down by two scores or more.

"As long as we're moving the ball" is key here. The run game wasn't doing anything the first half of that game even with the Colts D focusing on stopping the deep pass.

Here is the Titans great running game in the first half of that game:
    3, 0, 6, 1.

Remember, the Titans are down 14-0 after four offensive plays. If the run game does more even down by 14, don't you think Whiz stays with it?

Whiz tries to establish something with the run game with the game back within reach early in the third on the initial drive with a run on first down and it gets one yard.

It Whiz doesn't throw the football down by three scores and force feeds the run game with the same 2.2 ypc result you get from the first five carries, people here would say Whiz wasn't trying to win the game.

That's with Greene plodding along. I'll buy what your selling when I see Sankey with his much better vision and faster twitch failing.
