The defense in 2013 was much better than in 2012 but they couldn't just fire Grey and replace him with Williams. They pretended Grey was still the DC which was a joke.

After the 2012 season any other DC would have been fired. We were dead last in scoring defense!

What I find most entertaining about this entire subject is the idea that Munch lost his job because of the complaints of a bunch of faceless yahoos on a fan forum.
The "talent" evolves or rotates through every year. The coach's job is to.make the most of what he has. Munch didnt do that and he lost his job. The same will happen to Whiz and it will have nothing at all to do with DW's delusions of grandeur or the complaints of this board.

Just remember that if Munch wasn't so stubborn, he would still be our HC. All he had to do was fire his boys and he would still be here.

If this season is going to be a wash, then I actually would've been more satisfied with Munch and then getting an elite type HC in the off season.

We finally do a HC search and there just wasn't anyone really available. Just our luck.

No one wants Munch or the old Oiler crew back

This team isn't much better and in some ways even worse than last IMO

They using Sankey with kid gloves, Greene shouldn't be a starter on ANY NFL team, corners are awful - we're obviously better with Verner , gtfo #25!!

The only positive so far this year is the O-Line who didn't show up today.

On paper the talent level is below average to poor IMO and the coaching staff is changing the entire defensive scheme, which obviously will take time.

Whiz is some kind of a QB guru eh? We'll we don't have a QB currently for him to groom so let the staff remain, let us get a top 5 pick and hopefully draft the kid from UCLA Hundley - if they draft bone-head Winston then they're in trouble - but it's Week-4 of a new direction team with minimal talent to work with on paper and obviously on the damn field.

Right here. Was all the discussion preseason about it taking time to implement the defense? We did not pick up the option on Locker. We do not have the personnel to run a 3-4. This is a true rebuild this time. Not the BS we got under Munfish. It will take time.

I think the thread title is tongue in cheek. No one wants Munch back. We're all just embarassed and want to win. I'm not throwing in the towel yet though, we can get back on our feet these next few weeks.

Jesus Christ guys, pump the damn breaks for a second.

To compare the first 4 games under Whis to 3 seasons under Munch is just so unbelievably short-sighted and, wait for it.... moronic.

It's discouraging right now for sure. And yes, many of us clearly overestimated the immediate impact Whisenhunt would have on this team. But let's try to keep some perspective here. We're implementing brand new systems on both sides of the ball and we don't have a QB.

If we still look like this next year then it will be time to hit the panic button. To be hopping off the Whis bandwagon and pining for Munch after three losses is beyond absurd.
