Want Munchak back yet?

The delusion of grandeur is astounding. You get points for that. Otherwise you're a failopotomus.
And, again: even if you WERE right ( and you're not) only a sh***ss makes threads like this.

 

I can see where Dee-Dub is coming from on this. Munchak had incredibly ****** luck during his tenure with injuries and with CJ perfecting the fetal-position-drop football move. Granted, I imagine part of why this team sucks now is because he's the one that developed them, and Ruston Webster is a f'ing moron.

I'd take Munch with Greg
Williams as DC over Whiz and Horton right now. Our defense blows. Munch was an average coach who made some mistakes and had some bad luck. Neither coach made the decision to waste an 8th pick on Jake Locker but Whiz an alleged offensive genius was supposed to do more with him. He seems to be regressing to me.

The thing is we are not in early rebuild mode with this team. That began last year or earlier. We have signed several free agents the last 2 seasons. We should be much better. Whitehurst is Whiz's boy when we already had Fitzy under contract.

I wasn't crazy about the Lewan pick either. I was touting Benjamin but that would have made too much sense.

 

I like how Whiz is given credit for working with great Qbs like big Ben, Warner and Rivers. In reality he was just in the right place at the right time. San diego is doing just fine without him. Offensive genius my a$$!

Didn't want Munch back. Wisenhunt was on my list of guys I didn't want to replace him.

I was ****ed either way.

 

Munch sucked, he had three years and no progress so just because it's not getting better yet with the new staff doesn't mean I'd rather have a proven failed approach back, that's just stupid to even suggest such a thing. Wizz has sucked too so far but we're only 4 games into the first season.

It almost seems like he's just evaluating the team and not even really trying to win, which wouldn't make sense but it almost does seem that way.

Besides having no QB that's worth a damn on this team, the defense has just been embarrassing at best. There was a day when 17 points on offense would give us a good chance to win but not when the defense is consistenly giving up 40+ points.

Horton has a great reputation for building solid defenses so I'm hoping that once he gets the pieces he needs in place to run the defense he wants, it'll starts to click. But for now it's hard to watch these average teams just March down the field with ease, big play after big play, score after score.
