Charlie Football will dink and dunk his way through a couple of stalled drives and be asked to dial it up after Indy run up a score on us. At that point Charlie will turn into an interception machine. Week 5 we'll go back to Locker.

After the by week Whiz will turn to Meth or Mett. Either way its better than Fisher or Munchak because changes are happening.

We look smart for not picking up the option on Locker.

Dunno bout that. I think it's 50/50 who comes in after jake. If cbj starts next, the leash may be short. I hope. Everyone's job is on the line. Wis may have a 2 or 3 years to prove himself, but he know cbj had never amounted to much. You think he's gonna put his career in the hands of a"never was and never will be" OR a rookie who showed Pretty well in pre season? Id go with mett.

I would go with lockr, but Im starting to believe he is losing stock pretty quick.

somehow I am not shocked by this news and I kind of expected it. Things will get better in time but it's time to move on from locker. even @520 and @The Hammer know it's time to switch our QB!

Locker looks really frazzled on and off the field. He knows he not getting it done. This opportunity slipping away from him .

Lets get some things straight here..

    1) Mettenberger is not ready to start. This isn't Madden where you throw anyone in there.. people's jobs are on the line here, and they will play whoever gives us the best chance to win.

    2) It's difficult to evaluate Locker because of his lack of playing time.

2011: He came in and rallied us in a couple of games, and nearly beat New Orleans. He never turned the ball over.
2012: He played poorly, but that entire team was an ass-disaster.
2013: Played well at times, injuries ended his season. Our entire team fell apart without him.
2014: Bad start, to be decided.

Okay so obviously he has not lived up to his draft stock, and we're all pissed off at this 1-2 start. He's making bad reads and missing throws. Right now, Locker is all we have though. Mett isn't ready and CBJ is worse than Fitzy. Fitzy may have turned it over but at least he could make some plays too.

We have no other options but to hope the best for Jake, or give up the season. We need good QB play to be competitive, and game manager won't get it done. Locker has earned his chance, and this year will be his last if he doesn't show it.

Can't we just wait until we're at least out of playoff contention? You guys are ready to bench him after two games. That's not how the NFL works. You take your best QB and teach him, fix mistakes, and make him as good as you can. You mold him to fit our offense (which is BRAND NEW mind you).

If it doesn't work this year, then we move on. Steve McNair had some pretty average beginning years. You gotta give these guys a chance.. Locker has started 21 games FFS.

You don't know that. Pure speculation.

Teach him? The guy is in his 4th year and 3rd as a starter. He just doesn't get it. And it's painfully obvious.

The excuse well has run dry. We're wasting our time right now.

Man, in all seriousness I stopped reading after "it's difficult to evaluate Locker"

That's just plain out blind foolishness. He's bad. He's inaccurate, can't hit a horizontal route unless you believe two car lengths behind the WR is catchable. Tries to send EVERYONE of our WR to the morgue on his extremely high throws over the middle. He's a one read pony who relied on his legs to much in college.

I'll stand firmly and say I wanted us to draft locker. I saw play maker potential and huge wins. That "it" factor. Well guess what... I was wrong. Lockers a bust. End of story. Dude is also glass.
