    after 2014... I don't think the NFL will be the same for quite some time. They're going to take a lot harder look at the personal lives of these players... because it's no longer a slap on the wrist. What used to be a slap-on-the-wrist 2 game suspension could end up being a full season or lifetime suspension..

    these dudes better keep their noses clean.

    I do not want Winston.

    If this were last year, or even last month, I would agree. Now, however, I foresee changes in how a team handles these situations (like what is happening to AP and Hardy now informally), where players will start to be suspended (taken off of the field) pending resolution of legal issues. This would mean that a team is on the hook for time spent suspended (much like covering a player when hurt).

    That said, maybe the lower rookie salary caps make this less of a consideration....time will tell I think.

    what these guys do WITHOUT money..

    you can count on getting even worse when they have millions of dollars.

    I have a hard time deciding who I like less.

    The arrogant Cutler/Rivers types who are spoiled babies,

    or these thug-life criminals. (I'd put Roethlisberger in this category too, due to the raping.)

    This media **** storm is going to blow over. Business returns to normal. For every Ray Rice there is a Ray McDonald.

    If an organization informally suspends a guy and eventually it is found out he did nothing wrong there is going to be a backlash like no other. I can't wait for that to happen.

    Greg Hardy is different. He's actually been convicted. He got his due process. That one is flabbergasting.

    They've always been in the NFL and every other sports league. The difference is 24-hour access to reporting, news and social media.
