Of course it is — as are most corporations.

Anheuser Busch is one of the largest sponsors of the NFL and they've said they are not pleased with how the NFL has handled recent issues.

Now, I'm going to say that I think this is nothing more than public relations. I doubt they are disgusted enough to pull their ads but it'll be interesting how the NFL moves forward just by the cash cow shooting up a warning flare.

A-B should watch their tone, football related stuff is a huge part of their sales, I'm sure. Bars are full across the country, people are out drinking beer because of the NFL on Sundays, when they would be otherwise sitting at home not buying their products. Not to mention the bargain 7 dollar beers at stadiums.

I would say "don't poop where you eat."

they won't do a thing until the NFL problems start cutting into their bottom line. It's all about the shareholders.

yeah, not anytime soon. NFL is a profit monster. It would take something more than a few player scandals to turn public interest away.

If AB wants to start a stink, I'm sure Miller would jump on board instantly to sponsor.. if not them.. then Coors would.

Did you know that they are all going to be the same company soon? Miller-Coors already merged a few years back, and I heard a news report over the weekend that InBev is making a play for Miller-Coors.

Alot of these sponsors are getting shamed into some kind of response from the media....news talk has been all over the NFL and the sponsors about this (at least when I have been listening to them). Most if these "releases" are intended to placate the chattering class IMO.

I don't have much of an issue with A-B denouncing the NFL's actions. I do find it hypocritical that NIKE can claim child abuse when they have exploited child labor for decades.
