I don't know, but I would venture to guess that Cleveland and a surrounding two or three hour drive has damn near double the number of people as Nashville and it's surrounding area.

Also, bad as they are, Cleveland is one of those old teams that has multi generations of fandom. Those roots help. We don't have that.

    It's not like LP sits 500,000 people! We're talking 70k seats, 70k!!

I agree with you 100%. As a longtime PSL holder however, I can tell you that you are greatly overestimating the demand in Nashville for Titans tickets. I have decent club level seats around the 25, and sometimes I can't even give tickets away. I have watched hundreds of dollars go down the drain every year for a while. While I have taken the bullet instead of selling tickets to opposing fans, I cannot fault those who do.

Yep. A lot of fans don't see it to be worth the drive, the traffic, the paid parking, and the cost for the ticket. It is much easier to spend 10 bucks and 3 hours at the bar or at home, to watch.

It's a nice thought to "only sell to titans fans." But who's buying?

When the titans were undefeated in 2008 I still found tickets on eBay for 25 dollars each.

There is no resale market here, unless the seller is looking for a 50 percent loss per ticket most games. Scalpers may give you 30 percent if lucky.

Players should be playing their asses off because they get paid to do so. Fans will care when the players prove it to them. This team has ZERO heart yet again. Same **** for 17 years excepting the first 5 years.

Just looked this up...Cleveland and the surrounding counties have a little over 2 million in population (#28 in the country), while the Nashville metro area has about 1.76 million in population (#36 in the country). However, Cleveland has been in decline, while Nashville is growing (like many places in the midwest and south, respectively).

I agree about the long time loyalty thing though....that could help explain this.

In the end, it really does not matter in terms of the team leaving. As long as the seats are filled, all will be well...at least until the team starts to want a new stadium (I predict that the calls for this will start inside of the next ten years). Lack of local support for the team could equate to a lack in local support for a future referendum.

So, summing up the Titans first 2 weeks according to this board.

    Week 1: Yeah, playoffs baby!!
    Week 2: We suck. #Winless4Winston

Sweet mother of god I hope not.

This franchise couldn't survive another QB that will be out of the league in three years.

Need I remind you it is coming from a fanbase who went from Superbowl to move the team to a new city in the span of 7 days.

So really, not all that surprising.
