    He can be replaced. The product sells itself. It doesn't need Goodell to maintain interest. He costs the owner's $42M/yr. Let's see how long they support him now that he's evoked the wrath of MANY women across the nation.

    As much as I would love for this to be the demise of Goodell, I just don't see it. He's already doing interviews full of excuse-making. And the owners are stepping up to back him. At least I saw where Kraft has.

    I think he'll be able to deflect just enough of the heat in the short-term and the public outcry will blow over sooner than everyone thinks. I think it's going to take some kind of hard evidence that he had previously seen the video or did not even attempt to obtain video for his job to be in jeopardy.

    The next guy up. The owner's WILL dump him if the N.O.W. can raise enough heat. I'm speculating the next focus is going to be about a cover-up regarding when he (the NFL) saw the in-elevator video.

    And btw- Kraft is the only owner I know that has stepped up to give vocal support for Goodell. Hmmmm- can't imagine why. Spy-Gate maybe? History of video destruction maybe?

    This thing COULD blow over for Goodell but I'm not sure that's going to happen. All depends on how serious national organizations that get a lot of press (like the N.O.W.) decide (or are persuaded) not to pursue it any further.

    I see what you are saying, but I think you are putting way too much stock into the influence of N.O.W. They are generally seen and represented as a pretty radical left wing fringe organization, they aren't exactly Susan G. Komen.

    NFL has released a statement saying they were not aware of the video ever being in their possession and they "will look into it".

    Sounds like Goodell & Co. are going to go down swinging.
