Im glad you said 'good' like that, he's made them all richer than ever before, but greed can be seen as bad by a lot of people

I know this has been a crucial incident for the NFL, ray rice and the dirt birds, but can we move on from this. Every dang channel and every sports radio is discussing this over and over.

Anyone else tired of this already?

I really hope that you are right, but I think you have more faith in the public's attention span than I do. I would be curious about how many fans (outside of forums such as this) even know who the commissioner is.

Yesterday I mentioned the good part of social media, but the bad side of it is what you are starting to see now....people are ready to move on to the next shiny story (even starting to see it on this site). Not only that, but I wonder how many folks could name the other two domestic abuse cases with NFL players that are pending right now (both players were in uniform this past Sunday, btw).

The only way this does not fade away IMO is if there is some movement from a special interest group, but so far I have heard nothing and the key potential symbol for such a movement has already dissed the whole process via social media.

Some folks will remember this, and for them it will always be a stain on Goodell, but in general, unless some other event occurs (such as some form of demonstration) I see this fading into the sunset for the general public/fans. JMHO

Just curious, how many domestic violence arrests occurred from 1989 – 2006 when paul Tagliabue oversaw the NFL? Goodell didn't make football players stupid, he inherited something already in place.

Don't confuse my position. I have a problem with the way that Goodell has appointed himself as judge/jury/appellate as chief administrator of the conduct policy. that is completely separate from the issue of the prevalence of domestic violence in the NFL.

The tactics utilized by Goodell are unscrupulous. The entire course of this Ray Rice incident was an attempted cover up that went bad when his methods didn't get total control of the tape. This would have gone the way of Spy-gate if the methods he directed were successful. He has poked a hornet's nest with the N.O.W. His ability to duck and dive is tremendous if he can shake their desire to see him resign.
