KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- De'Anthony Thomas' NFL debut will likely have to wait until Week 2, or possibly later. The Kansas City Chiefs listed Thomas as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans because of a sore hamstring.

The Chiefs are already missing suspended wide receiver Dwayne Bowe for the Titans game.

Thomas' loss might hurt most as the punt returner. Frankie Hammond Jr. should get most or all of the work there on Sunday.

But the Chiefs also will miss Thomas on offense, where he was lining up as both a receiver and running back. His absence could mean more plays on offense for Junior Hemingway, Albert Wilson, A.J. Jenkins and Knile Davis.

Starting cornerback Marcus Cooper (ankle) was listed as questionable for Sunday's game. If Cooper doesn't play, Ron Parker would move into the starting lineup. Rookie Phillip Gaines, who looked lost in last week's preseason game, would also move up on the depth chart and the Chiefs might have to play him at least a few snaps if Cooper doesn't play.

    Man... Chiefs are depleted.

If we lose this game... well, criticism is justified.

    Yup.

Hostile environment or not, we CANNOT lose this game. Well, we can. But my expectations for the season will plummet. Seems like half their roster is either injured or suspended. Meanwhile we're almost completely healthy. We have no excuse not to win this game.

This is the exact type of game we always seem to lose. You will know when this franchise turns things around when we're not just able to win a game like this, but do so pretty easily.

We've had no excuse to play defense like we've seen throughout the preseason either. Let's HOPE we're in here Monday talking about how the preseason once again tells us nothing because the Titans went out and played lights out in KC.

They still have Jamaal Charles and we still have questions marks on the run D (amongst other things).

Say what you want, but Thomas is exactly the type of player to bust a 60 yard score on us.

    Yep...

Charles, Thomas, and Kelce were the only players on their offense I was worried about.

I'm sure someone we've never heard of will have a big game against us though.

We've just gotta go all out to stop Charles and force Alex Smith to beat us.
