Horton: 4 Games before we see true D

I don't know if any of you have seen it but kuharsky just made his predictions for each game for us this season. Needless to say he's a joke and I ripped him on his predictions. He has us starting 1-3 and losing to the jaguars at home.

Actually, it's the opposite in general. Coaches usually give you the pessimistic answer to cover themselves....just like that article said from other 3-4 gurus who have made the transition. If it takes 4 weeks, they'll tell you 8, not the other way around!

And you 'can't' force players to fit a system? It happens every year. Is Clowney an OLB or a DE? RG3 - a spread qb is going to a west coast offense? This is the NFL, square pegs get knocked into round holes all the time. You can suggest they shouldn't do it, but they do. And in our case, with the fact we aren't going to a 2 gap 3-4 D, few people will be asked to do anything they don't already do save Morgan who has never had to drop or cover anyone man to man. But he will be rushing most of the time and adjusting to different run fits happenes with every new scheme so not exactly an earth shattering change.

 

To clarify, do you mean bottom 10 in total yards or ypc or both? And considering we are looking to have 3 RB's share the load, I don't care if no one gets 1000yds but they combine for 1500yds. I bet you we are better then bottom 10 in BOTH ypc and rushing yards!

 

Considering I just gave you specific examples to contradict what you said, you ignored my examples, had nothing to rebut my evidence, and then simply repeated yourself.

 

That's the mindset of a terrible coach. A great coach adapts his system to the players he is surrounded with. Look what Chip Kelly did in Philly.

 

Take QB consideration out and I bet not.

 

He's actually being rational. When was the last time we swept Jax? They were winless last year and beat us!
