Ryan Mallett traded to Houston

I hope they start Mallet.

Laugh all you want- Fitzpatrick is a good QB for 3.5 quarters a game.

 

That assumes the New England wanted to trade him before week 1. They probably wanted to hold onto him until they got through the preseason in case Brady or Grap. got injured.

 

They would have had to have given a 3rd pick 5 weeks ago. Patriots actually I think drafted mallet in the third and got a 6 back. Funny how they gave away a pro bowl guard for a 4th and a marginal te at best. Not the greatest week for the pats.

Great news for us is the texans are going to be bad on offense for awile

It sort of makes me wonder whether O'Brien somehow bought into the "Fitzmagic" thing, and realized by the end of camp that he was actually buying "Fitztragic". Surely he would have known better...I guess.

That said, IMO this will be a good move for the Cows in the long term. I think Mallett has a good shot to be very good in this league. Bad news for us, though....would have preferred that Fisher took him.

 

I thought ESPN said it was for a conditional 7th round pick.

Mallet might flourish though, but I don't see anything happening yet.

 

Ryan Mallett is a lot like Zach Mettenberger.

 

In other words--3rd string? I am just happy to see a division rival worried about their QB situation a week before the season starts.
