Pre-Game Thread Postgame: Titans vs Packers

Our D was getting beat from poor technique, sometimes bad effort, and sometimes poor run fits (new defense problem). But I'd suggest you take a look at the Jets D and compare. We actually have a faster D. Calvin Pace and Quiton Coples? Pace is 90 yrs old and Coples is fast for a 4-3 DE but slow for an OLB. The difference is they know what theyre doing so they play fast and they play with great technique. The Jets DL is awesome. We dont have our DL working like that so it is more pressure on the LB's to be perfect and they weren't!

And the Zach Brown situation is not helping matters. We need our Front 7 dialed in and working together. Ayers can NOT get blocked inside and lose the edge and our inside backers can not get blocked or take themselves out of the play!

How many yards did CJ have for the Jets?????? Oh yeah 4yds on 4 carries, yeah he's great. Same ole CJ. A fast ***** scared to be hit. Falls before the defense ever gets to him as always. Any REAL fan would be supporting the people on THIS team, not worrying about sorry ass players that sucked up too much playing time for the return they gave. Grow up and support your team, or join a Jets fan forum. I am sure they would value your wonder insights on such a great RB asset.

 

The run & pass defense did not look good at all. I am not real concerned yet. This is not a real reflection of what the D will really look like. This was just the defense going out and trying to run the schemes they have practiced. There was no defensive game plan, no film study, no real prep. They have a lot to clean up for sure. The tackling was horrible. No pass rush. I am hoping that Horton has a plan to clean up this crap. if the next game looks this bad on defense I will get worried.

 

I rarely post during our games because I'm either at them or trying to pay too close attention to the away games on TV.

 

Actually he had 4 carries for 2 yards. He sucks.

 

He sure as hell looked ten times better than I expected him to... Granted it's preseason and against backups. But still.

He looked pretty good last night. Stafford too.

 

Stafford missed some tackles he should of made.

Other then that, I liked what I seen from him.

 

It was nice to see staffords passion.

Whatever the excuses that can be made, our starting d got straight drove on by packers backups. I am concerned. Looks like we could get run on all day long, again. I'll just hope it's first game and that there will be improvement. Morgan had that nice pass breakup.

Weather took out my satellite view with about 5 minutes left in 2nd quarter and I didn't see much after that. Glad to read that mett looked good. Still hate booger pickers though
