Shawn Jefferson on each of the Titans receivers:

    Nate Washington:

"He's a stud. Man, he's a pro. He's leading the group right now and he seems to be in the best shape of his life. He has been making plays out here from Day One. Right now, he's in midseason form. And the group goes as he goes."

    Kendall Wright:
"He's our X-factor / game-changer. This guy can do it all. He is special without the ball in his hands, drawing coverage, and he's special with the ball in his hands. He is a matchup nightmare for the defense, and he's a hard-working, serious-minded football player."

    Justin Hunter:
"He can be the receiver that puts us in the playoffs, and helps us win our division. With the growth he is going to go through, if he can keep progressing he can be the receiver that puts us over the edge. He has that much potential. He has great ability, and has gotten bigger. But keep in mind this is just his second season in the league and he is learning his second offense. He is coming on, but he has to keep working. I like the course he is on."

    Michael Preston:
"He right now is the guy that knows everything. I can plug him in at any position and he'll make plays for us. I like the progress he is making. We have a lot of competition in that group, and I know Michael is going to work every day and compete and he has the ability."

    Marc Mariani:
Marc is coming along as a receiver. He has a big heart and he has that want-to. He majors in the non-talented areas like hustle, blocking, the dirty work and the things you have to do. He majors in those, and there's a place for a guy like that in the NFL. Whatever you ask him to do he's going to do it with a smile on his face and he's going to go hard at it."

    Translated:

    - Washington is still our best receiver.
    - Kendall Wright is picking up right were he left off.
    - Hunter is still showing flashes, but is inconsistent. (I hate the P word...)
    - Preston is still Preston.
    - I think Titan 43 nailed it on Mariani

    Just not on the Titans.

I like Marc but I would rather see him get cut before Preston. We have returners and he is not all that at WR.

But overall I like our squad, we have all the potential to be the best in the NFL. Im excited to see them and hopefully Locker ball out this year.

Lol, Mariani is a scrub at receiver. Unless he has an incredible preseason he's gone.

Mariani looked solid 2 preseasons ago before he snapped his leg in half, don't count him out just yet.

Unless an UDFA comes along, don't expect them to unseat Mariani. That is, if Mariani hasn't had any drop off in two seasons.

He pretty much said basically what most of us already knew.

Hopefully Preston can finally get over the hump and show us something this year.
