Locker. As long as he stays healthy he will be a solid QB in this league.

I saw a good breakdown of QBs by round a lil bit ago.

6th rounders do nothing really most dont even play. The stats are really inflated for 6th rounders due to one guy noted. Tom Brady.

It is Jake Locker's chance then we will start over if he fails. Rookie will maybe never play and backup is hopefully not playing much. Tough spot for the Titans right now.

6th rounders don't have a good track record because they usually have 6th rd. talent. Mettenberger has much more talent than a typical 6th rd. QB.

The Titans had him with an, at worst, 4th rd. grade. Some reports have said the Ravens had a round 2 grade on him.

I'm not saying he'll be starting week 1, but I think the guy has a chance to become a starter.

I'm certainly not writing him off automatically solely because he was selected in the 6th round.

Whitehurst is clearly Locker's backup. The question is who makes the 3rd spot Mett or Wilson? Who makes the Practice Squad?

Unless Metthenberger goes full retard he wont stay on the pratice squad.

some other team will nab him and make him a BU

so IMO hes either inactive third string or a wasted draft pick for 2014

You could argue that we came up smelling like a rose and got a QB who is just as likely to succeed as those taken before him. I think Mett has as much chance at success as Garoppolo who some think was worth a 2nd rd pick. I'm glad we took Sankey there.

I wanted us to take Mccarron in the 4th but they didn't it it might be Mccarron's fault.

In the end we did ok. Mayock had Mettenberger with a 2-3 rd grade.

Mayock had Mettenberger ahead of Bridgewater. Mettenberger was his 5a guy and Bridgewater 5b.

To be honest the a and b thing is lame. 5a is ahead of 5b so jusy call it 5 and 6. WTF?

But he had him 5th just behind Garoppolo and ahead of Bridgewater-Savage-Thomas. So based on his ranking we struck gold. Got a 3rd rd prospect in rd 6.

    1. Locker until he gets hurt or fails
    2. Whitehurst until he completely sucks
    3. Mettenberger to see what we have for 2015

I look forward to a year of Locker. By the end of 14, he'll either be a franchise QB or we'll be shopping in the FIRST round for a QB. Mettenberger will most likely be a career backup guy. Either way, Whitehurst is probably gone next year.
