How much money and cap space would we loose?

Their is no one left to bring in, we don't need the salary cap room. I'll rather keep an overpaid back-up as insurance.

Not cutting Oher, trying to trade Roos.

Nobody will trade for Roos unless he restructures.

Honestly I think Oher will be a high priced insurance policy this season. Next season however, I think he's a goner. Personally I think Lewan plays RT this year and we will re-sign Roos and kick him over to the right to let him finish out his career and Lewan will take over LT duties. An old Roos would be a far better RT than Oher who is pretty overrated in my opinion.

I don't think they'll try to trade Roos.

The only way the Titans have a decent season is for Locker to stay healthy. Trading away your vet LT and replacing him with a rookie or sliding Oher back to the left side just increases the risk Locker gets clobbered.

Even if Lewan were to show up to camp and dominate, I don't know how many trade partners the Titans might have for Roos unless someone goes down on another team. As you say, they'd have to do a new contract as well which further complicates things.

Lewan would move to the left side and Oher stay at RT.

I believe that all three stay for the season. Roos is not getting any younger, and Oher has looked a bit rough over the recent past. There is no upward pressure on the salary cap. I believe that the way the Oher deal is structured allows the Titans a fairly reasonable release option after year 1 if they choose to release him.

There are worse problems than having too many high dollar bodies for the OT position, especially if it is just for one season where salary cap space is not an issue.
