I've warmed up to the pick. Most of us agreed we needed to take an OT in the top 2 or 3 rounds anyway, and with Barr and Gilbert off the board our team wasn't ready to roll the dice with Manziel. They're committed to Locker for another year, may as well protect him. The great teams usually take BPA anyway. This dude is a monster mauler and blocker.

Can you imagine what the reaction to the Lewan pick would have been had Munchak still been coach?

Yeah. It would have been havoc.

Me, personally, I'm just as unhappy as I would have been then. But optimism about a new coach goes a long way, for sure.

Ya u win in the trenches and Lewan figures to be an upgrade over Warmack whether he plays tackle or guard - Roos will be gone and declining anyways..

If Warmack improves who knows we may have something on that line now for years ..

    Levitre, Lewan, Mack-Daddy, Schwenke ...

Everyone wanted a sexy pick though at 1 - Barr gone hurt a lot maybe we can still get a stud LB or BA RB next round and who knows Murray could be there in the 4th and boom suddenly it doesnt look so bleak of a draft ...

If you wanna cry - cry over the fact that The Titans don't have a third.
A potential stud LT is NEVER a bad pick. Anyone who thought the team was going to draft Manziel and win the 2014 Super Bowl on his arm is delusional.

I couldn't make it past 12 pages before I had to stop. All you morons freaking out about this pick, who did you want at 11? Barr was gone..gilbert was gone...and taking any of those qbs at 11 would have been an awful reach, considering most of them are still on the board. So lets relax a bit and wait and see what happens. I think it was a good pick, not flashy of course but taking a LT who is nasty is something we will need when roos leaves. Well take a rb in the 2nd and qb in the 4th...I still have faith in locker as long as he stops having freak injuries happen so im glad we didn't take any of those average at best qbs

Funny thing is - I cannot recall a single #1 being selected by the The Titans that the forum majority roundly supported since I've been here.
I recall Kendall Wright getting panned hardly by a lot of the same names here..
CJ was not a popular choice when he was picked either...

I am just glad we are ahead of the game for when the nfl goes to six OL to protect the qb even more.
