Clearly, the Titans need someone to defend against Clowney. Lewan was able to hold him off in college so he should be able to do it in the NFL.

Not thrilled about 3 charges against Lewan. The Titans must feel that he will get out of it because that's a big minus on a kid that we need to be drafting.

Was hoping Bortles would have dropped to our pick, was shocked that Jax got him and I think it was a great pick for them.

Not thrilled with the Lewan pick, but the draft guru's know a lot more than I do.

    On to day 2.....

Yes. Round two will make the Lewan pick either look genius or even more flabbergasting. If we miss out on one of the QBs who has a chance to come in and at least compete this year then I'm gonna go ahead say this draft was a fail from an overall needs standpoint. I have that little confidence in Locker.

I will never be thrilled with an OL high first round pick. Ever. Unless the titans pick up Carr or garoppolo, you can mark me down as 100 percent displeased with the draft.

Spend all this energy thinking about the draft, for them to take a tackle. I should have expected it.

When there is a glaring need at the most important position on the field, then you take one (had pick of the litter besides bortles) or you successfully trade down to pick one up later, or trade the pick for a more proven QB. But it's just a lame, boring pick. People are not going to fine out in droves to see our shiny new backup offensive tackle.

Good offensive tackles don't take teams anywhere. Ask dbrickashaw ferguson, eric fisher, and the countless other wasted high picks on Ts.

The downside is there for every position, but the upside is not that high on a guy who is 1/5th of a blocking unit. I was about to be unhappy with a CB pick. An OL pick I'd even worse.

I personally don't care if he becomes as good as Roos in his prime. I still will hate the pick. Especially after the Warmack pick.

Well, if the don't pick up a QB:RB soon, I can assume we're in for a few more years of titans snooze fest.

You are right. Let me go play left tackle, then tell me how its not important.

I understand your disappointment but totally disagree with this comment.

Did I say it's not important? Nope. Do I think it is a bad choice for a top 15 pick with good players on the board? Absolutely.

We've had one of the best tackle combos in the league for almost the past decade.... Tell me, what's that gotten us?

    Nothing.

And Roos was not even a 1st round pick.

I've cooled a bit overnight. There's no denying they got a good value at 11. But IDK it's just the whole fact that we have a major need at the most important position in football and we had our pick of the field minus Bortles. Maybe we simply didn't have any of the QBs rated that high and I suppose and I can't fault then for that. But the whole botched trade thing is just salt in the wound. Definitely makes it look like Lewan wasn't really their guy and they "settled".

I just hope we can land Carr, Garapolo or Murray later on.

Okay finally calmed down. I was furious last night, mostly due to the fact they pretended we had a trade worked, out which is what everyone wanted, then Schaefer threw it back in our face. That wasn't nice at all.

If it's BPA then it's a great pick. I am sure they had lewan rated very high, like top 5. I wonder if they had him higher than Matthews and Robinson.
I really haven't looked a lot at Lewan cause I really didn't think we would take a tackle, got to have confidence in Rushton and Whiz. In terms of the investment in the online, we better have a top 5 online next year.

Anyway welcome to Tennessee Taylor, you have my full support.

If we hadn't of had one of the best tackle duos imagine where we'd be.
