I'd have rather seen Fuller as the first pick. I didn't expect that many corners to go in the 1st round. Unfortunately there was a big run on CBs in the 1st round and the "high quality" guys are taken. Manziel was intriguing but I'm a little gun shy when it come to mobile QBs. Teddy Bridgewater would have been a solid pick. But I totally get why they went with Lewan, it sounds as if coaching staff were really high on him and didn't expect him to be there...

If we don't pick a QB this round there are some development type QB's that will be available later in the draft. I wouldn't mind taking a guy like Aaron Murry really late (6-7) if he's still there, virtually no risk at that point. If Carr is there they just might take him. Of course RB is also position I could see them going.

I know Locker is fragile as an egg, but at least we have someone under center who if stays healthy could be a good player. C.Wisenhunt may be comfortable, after seeing Locker practice, he feels under his system the kid can get the job done. I hope so.

I was disappointed with the pick but I'll put trust in the FO as they know more than I do. I would have taken Bridgewater (competition for Locker isn't a bad thing), Fuller or Mosley.

    11 too high for Shazier?

What good LTs have come out of the midrounds?

I'd have taken Mosley or Dennard were I forced to make a pick. In all honesty I would have probably been begging for a trade down.

By all accounts we just couldn't get what we wanted in a trade down.

Personally I had Mosley as the highest rated player on my board. The thing is that the Titans don't give a crap who I have rated on my board.

The Titans worked hard to get themselves set up to take BPA and they had a guy fall to them that was better than anyone else on their board.

Just remember that how we do this year is 100% dependent on Locker performing like a franchise QB and staying healthy. Their is not a player in this draft that would impact our team any more than Locker stepping his game up. Even if we drafted Clowney he would not help our team win more games than if Locker gets the job done. So improving Locker's chances of staying healthy by getting a stud OT actually might have been the most impactful move we could have made.

Like it or not, but the success of the Titans team this year is all on Locker's shoulders.

I think the kid is a beast so I would have considered both he and Dennard at 11.

I think so too, I believe we wanted Barr or Gilbert...Shazier or Dennard would be good "plan B" picks...a trade down and get one of them would have been even better.

Amazing value for the Vikings. A few months ago this guy was the #1 pick, then they get him at the end of the first.

Jesus. The pick is fine. Roos was breaking down last year. This kid is either going to start at RT or take over mid way for Roos and Oher will start RT. We needed future players and depth and now we have it.

Lewan - Levtre - Shwenke - Warmack - Oher . It is a very solid Oline.

We have time now to take levtre (warmacks) and ohers replacement in the coming years in the middle of the draft. We have to update the OL. There is no way around it. You may get lucky getting 1 in the middle rounds but you don't plan on it. I'm happy we are establishing our line.

Roos and Stewart really spoiled everyone for so many years.

Donald - poor scheme fit. We already have to worry on how Casey fits. No more headaches.
    Fuller/Dennard - We used a 3rd on Blidi. You'd like your 3rds to start + get a chance.
Nix - Didn't even go in the 1st
Mosley - ILB isn't valued at 11, and we have Woodyard/Brown/Fokou/Mccarthy
Bridgewater - Nope. Didn't go til 32. Let's not reach for another QB
    Manziel - Nope. Bad QB

    Lewan makes sense.
